Bleacher Report Kicks Social Intern: NYC - Summer 2025

Your New Role
This internship will be located in the NYC area. The selected intern will be expected to join us in the office on a regular cadence based on the intern manager's in office schedule.
Our department is fun because its the middle point between sports, sneakers, and culture. No one day is the same. The intern has a chance to make their lane with in all that. The goal is to grow this intern to take on more tasks not just here but wherever their career takes them.
Your Role Accountabilities
- Work on stories and explainers as they pertain to the sneaker world
- Search for user-generated content, posting to TikTok, brainstorming content ideas that the team could create to live on our platforms.
- Come up with ways for Kicks to be a part of the conversation on X and Tiktok along with Instagram, Threads and YouTube.
- Have experience in not just understanding B/R. Kicks but how Kicks world intersects with all of the B/R and HOH world. Have an understanding of this entire ecosystem and what goes on behind the scenes of the production of all things social content.
Qualifications & Experience
- Extensive knowledge of sneaker culture, streetwear, fashion, and sports
- High level social media understanding and proficiency using Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Threads, the B/R. App, and other emerging social media platforms
- Experience being on-camera for short-form social video formats
- Ability to work In a team environment with flexible work schedule, including nights and weekends
- Good understanding for NBA, NBA Twitter and basketball culture as it pertains to sneakers, fashion and culture
- Experience producing for social, specifically Instagram and TikTok
- Energetic and passionate self-starter
- Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required)
- Must be a rising Junior or Senior (18 years or older)
- Must be in academic good standing (3.0 or above GPA) A transcript will be required to verify your GPA if an offer is extended.
- Warner Bros. Discovery will only consider candidates who are presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and who will not require work visa sponsorship from Warner Bros. Discovery now or in the future in order to retain their authorization to work in the United States. Candidates currently on any student or exchange visa, including F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, J-1, M-1, etc., will not be eligible for the internship program.
Nice-to-Haves
- Some knowledge and understanding of Adobe Premiere, Photoshop and web publishing skills also a plus

What to know before applying:
- The duration of the summer program regardless of which start/end option is 11 weeks.
- Program date options:
Option 1: June 2nd - August 15th
Option 2: June 9th - August 22nd
- Interns will be expected to work 35-40 hours per week in a hybrid capacity.
- Our internships are paid opportunities with a competitive hourly wage. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired. Relocation is not provided.
- Interviewing will take place from February through mid-April. A WBD team member will contact you if your experiences and interests match an open internship position. Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to give individual status updates.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation for roles in locations where legally required. Pay Rate: $19 per hour USD for undergrad interns.
