Your New Role...

Associate Project Manager, Owned Media supports the Director of Tech & Operations in the management of day to day technical & operational projects as it relates to media operations across the Owned & Operated team. Responsibilities for this role are, but not limited to, managing core system project enhancements, guiding linear and nonlinear discrepancy resolution, assisting with portfolio renewal initiatives, and maintaining relationships with vendors.

This role will also be responsible to lead onboarding efforts for new employees to the O&O team, oversee the implementation of linear and non-linear workflows across key system & tools, and can guide O&O Specialist and Coordinators in the execution of broadcast media, providing re-training where needed.

Your Role Accountabilities...

  • Project manage the implementation and enhancement of initiatives for strategy-related systems & tools for both linear & nonlinear use.
  • Oversee of linear and non-linear procedures as they relate to Network and Discovery+ priorities across portfolio network(s).
  • Interface with various internal business partners and external vendors to ensure network procedures are adhered to and provide enhancements for increased efficiencies.
  • Direct O&O Specialist & Coordinators on broadcast operations and providing onboard support as necessary
  • Oversees the operational support to nonlinear promotional assets to air in DTC, TVE, & VOD platforms
  • Maintains as key point of contact for all discrepancy & troubleshooting concerns and needs.
  • Available to aid the O&O team with broadcast linear & non-linear media log schedules where needed. Includes but not limited to on-call, vacation, off-site, advance log schedules, and overflow coverage

Qualifications & Experiences...

  • BA/BS Degree in Media/Communications or related area
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in media or related field
  • Clear and precise written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent numeric skills, strong attention to detail, with a sense of urgency when applicable
  • Proficient in Google G-Suite and Microsoft systems
  • Must have the legal right to work in the United States

Preferred Skills

  • Working knowledge of traffic and scheduling systems a plus (i.e. Gabriel, GRiP it, AWM, On-Air Pro, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of workflow production system, a plus
  • Strong understanding of media planning & strategy at a cable or broadcast network
  • Understanding of the campaign strategies of assigned DCI networks
  • Analytical with the ability to be flexible when approaching and reviewing media strategies and tactics
  • Understanding of non-linear platforms and strategy implementation a plus

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $53,592.00 - $99,528.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
