The Team

The Global Streaming Business Planning & Analysis (GBP&A) team reports to the Chief Financial & Strategy Officer for Streaming and is responsible for the development, analysis, communication, and implementation of strategies and business plans for Warner Bros. Discovery's (WBD) streaming platforms, focusing most on Max.

Your New Role...

We are looking for an Associate, based in New York, who will provide support on and lead high impact projects, analyses and processes covering Max, HBO, Discovery+, and other streaming initiatives. Reporting to the Sr. Manager of GBP&A, this Associate will focus on work that innovates and transforms WBD and the industry, and ultimately, helps WBD achieve its goals. This role requires a high level of collaboration with partners from teams across WBD.

Your Role Accountabilities...

  • Build analyses to drive strategy decision-making for management and teams, including improvements to the content greenlight process
  • Provide support for both WBD and Streaming management, including strategy reviews, executive presentations, and other management-level deliverables
  • Create executive-ready presentations to summarize key findings and recommendations, and facilitate collaborate and implementation
  • Support the development and implementation of data-driven and customer-centric strategies to drive growth
  • Analyze on-platform behavior, partnering closely with Data and Research teams
  • Maintain advanced knowledge of the industry, consumer trends, and the Streaming business
  • Collaborate with internal partners, including from Data, Research, Finance, Marketing, Product, Content, Technology, Ad Sales, and Distribution in support of initiatives

Qualifications & Experience...

  • At least 2 years of work experience that includes one or a combination of the following:
    • Management consulting within the Media, Technology, or Telecom practice
    • Investment banking within the Media, Technology, or Telecom practice
    • Strategy or corporate development at a media or technology company
  • Strong presentation development skills (PowerPoint)
  • A keen eye for presentation design and the ability to distill complex concepts and analyses into clear, easy-to-understand presentations
  • Strong analytical skills including manipulating and visualizing data (Excel); familiarity with data analytics and visualization tools (SQL, Looker, Tableau) is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple simultaneous deliverables under tight deadlines
  • Passionate about media and entertainment with a voracious appetite for industry news
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative DNA
  • Experience interfacing and presenting to senior executives
  • High level of integrity, strong work ethic, deep intellectual curiosity, and out-of-the-box thinking
  • Ability to thrive and take initiative in fast-paced, ambiguous situations

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $62,790.00 - $116,610.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
