What You'll Do:
• Develop a comprehensive payment lifecycle management solution that caters to Walmart's physical POS clients, as well as Ecommerce and omnichannel consumers across multiple markets and geographies (including the US, Mexico, UK, Canada, China, etc.).
• Build scalable and high-performing services to support a wide range of tender types, such as Credit/Debit cards, Gift cards, EBT, eWIC, Phone cards, PayPal, Chase pay, etc. Additional capabilities include prepaid phone activations, utility payments, benefits lookups, point of banking transactions, Sam’s Club Membership lookups, and Pharmacy Adjudications.
• Lead small groups of six to ten engineers in software development and design, identifying short- and long-term solutions and timelines. Review and approve proposed solutions, implement new architectural patterns, and perform design and code reviews of changes.
• Maintain a pulse on the ever-evolving landscape of payment technologies, proactively integrating the latest advancements into our systems to ensure we remain at the forefront of the industry.
• Demonstrate adeptness in managing multiple initiatives simultaneously, while upholding the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
• Prioritize operational excellence by continuously monitoring and optimizing the performance of payment systems to meet or exceed defined Service Level Objectives (SLOs).
• Establish best-in-class alerting and monitoring mechanisms for Walmart's Tier 0 payment platform, enabling proactive detection and resolution of issues.

- Deep expertise in distributed systems, leveraging public cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes and backend technology stack encompassing Java, Spring, Kafka, Databases, Caching, and more.
- Enthusiasm for cultivating a culture of engineering excellence within the team, advancing practices such as continuous delivery, automation, rigorous performance testing, and elevating unit test code coverage metrics.
- Remarkable skills in strategic planning, clear communication, adept stakeholder management, and securing architectural alignment across peer teams and architects.
- You’ll sweep us off our feet if you possess prior experience in steering large scale technology services within the payment/financial domain.

Sunnyvale, California US-04396:The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00-$286,000.00
Bentonville, Arkansas US-10735:The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
