Position Summary...

What you'll do...

Calling tech enthusiasts with a knack for problem-solving, a love for APIs, and a fun collaborative workspace to lead product development for our externalized APIs. These APIs enhance communication between our supplier system and third-party apps, offering a collaborative, fun and challenging environment to hone your skills while making direct business impact.

The Staff Product Manager leads developer-centric API product lifecycles through a deep understanding of Walmart's supplier system capabilities and their alignment with Supplier goals. As a primary steward of our internal systems, you'll ensure the APIs in our App Store are built for performance, usability and reliability. Reporting to the Director of Product, your role is critical to Walmart's ability to share its services or data with third-party developers driving product innovation and expanding our assortment. This role requires smooth collaboration with other Walmart PMs and influencing them on inclusion and prioritization of dependent features and capabilities.

• You excel at evaluating and ranking features and improvements, considering business implications, user necessities, and technical feasibility.
• You're great at articulating the benefits and application of APIs to internal teams, customers, and partners, ensuring understanding and effective utilization.
• You are obsessed with API performance and usage, and incorporate feedback, leading to ongoing product enhancement.
• You ensure that the APIs adhere to pertinent regulations and standards including those related to data privacy and security, thereby mitigating risk.
• You are skilled at creation of comprehensive and easily understandable documentation for the APIs, aiding developers in optimizing their usage.
• You pro-actively identify opportunities for innovation, and improvement of core capabilities by actively bringing in best practices from competitors and leveraging industry knowledge.
• You demonstrate the culture of data-driven decisions to define and articulate key business and product metrics

You'll make an impact by:
Developing strategic roadmaps - Lead the Product lifecycle for multiple complex products. Manage features via a multi-phased roadmap and execute working with large-sized cross-functional teams.
Lead product development - synthesize user, business requirements into product documentation for engineering and lead the work through ideation, design, development, and launch.
Backlog refinement - own the backlog refinement sessions with engineering partners to enable sizing and scoping of user stories. Attend and participate in key scrum ceremonies such as daily stand-up, sprint planning and retrospectives.
Producing compelling stories and visuals - Showcase complex features to end users, executive leadership and co-author launch messages with business and engineering partners.
Measure and articulate impact - Conducts and articulates complex ROI analyses of solutions to problems to identify, measure and correlate the impact of adoption to business value.

Hoboken, New Jersey US-10279:The annual salary range for this position is $132,000.00-$264,000.00

Sunnyvale, California US-07003:The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00-$286,000.00

Minimum Qualifications...

Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related area and 6 years' experience as a product manager, ideally working on consumer-facing, large-scale, highly complex B2B/C products, We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly. The ideal candidate would have knowledge of accessibility best practices and join us as we continue to create accessible products and services following Walmart's accessibility standards and guidelines for supporting an inclusive culture.
