What you'll do...
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Software Engineer III to join our Walmart+ team, where you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining our cutting-edge technology solutions using Java Spring Boot. As a Java developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality software applications that meet the needs of our customers and contribute to Walmart's continued success.
About Team:
Our team works closely with our US stores and eCommerce business to better serve customers by empowering team members, stores, and merchants with technological innovation. From groceries and entertainment to sporting goods and crafts, Walmart U.S. offers an extensive selection that our customers value, whether they shop online at Walmart.com, through one of our mobile apps, or in-store. Focus areas include customers, stores and employees, in-store service, merchant tools, merchant data science, and search and personalization.

What you'll do:
- Develop, and deliver high-quality software applications using Java Spring Boot and other relevant technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that adheres to Walmart's coding standards and best practices.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and apply this knowledge to improve Walmart's technology solutions.
- Adhere to Walmart's software development lifecycle processes.
What you'll bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in software development with Java Spring Boot.
- Strong proficiency in Java Spring Boot and related technologies (e.g., Spring MVC, Spring Data, Hibernate).
- Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., Azure, Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of other relevant technologies (e.g., Microservices, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with DevOps tools and practices (e.g., Jenkins, Git, JIRA).
- Familiarity with Walmart's technology stack and systems.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
