Position Summary...

What you'll do...

The Walmart Marketplace is a curated community of respected, professional sellers who offer only top-quality, authentic products and best-in-class customer services.

The Senior Manager I, Seller Planning , is responsible for developing, executing, and communicating sales plans, budgets, and forecasts to support marketplace sellers for the Food team. You will create, maintain and improve sales plans across the business with the main objective of ensuring sales, costs, profit, and other financial goals are met.

You will be part of the Food Strategic Initiatives team and work closely with Strategic Account Manager (SAM) leads, Strategic Account Managers, business analysts, data & analytics teams, and site merchandising. You will partner closely with the Omni Planning team to develop joint planning best practices.

• Performing planning and forecasting at various levels (category; subcategory; seller; item)
• Building analysis that supports overarching assortment strategies and decisions
• Reviewing and sharing real-time sales performance; adapting forecasts and recommendations for sales and assortment based on company and competitive trends
• Analyzing sales and inventory position at various levels (item; category; seller) to determine assortment opportunities and accelerate sales growth
• Managing plans and communications for key campaigns, initiatives, pilot programs, and strategic priorities; providing insights and updates to stakeholders
• Determining effectiveness of promotions, price adjustments, and other seller activation tactics
• Leading weekly/monthly business reviews
• Assisting in the execution and distribution of weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting for the team
• Providing recaps on quarterly hindsight to drive future strategic decisions about inventory, profit, and assortment

Preferred Qualifications
• 8+ years' experience in data analytics, strategic or merchandise planning, financial planning or similar field
• 4 years' experience in planning, budgeting, forecasting, inventory management or similar field
• Experience in retail ecommerce, including deep understanding of ecommerce business drivers
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required, including v-lookups and pivot tables
• Experience with data visualization tools (Looker, ThoughtSpot, Tableau)
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to construct simple and impactful message from complex analysis
• Bachelor's degree in Merchandising or Business Administration
• 3+ years in experience in people management, with strong mentorship
• 3+ years of experience in presentation to leadership; C-Suite communication

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
OR
• 8 years' experience in Business Management, ecommerce, Finance, Omni-Channel Merchandising or a related area
• Strong familiarity with ecommerce business drivers and their impact on KPIs and outcomes

San Bruno, California US-08848:The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00-$234,000.00
