What you'll do...

The Senior Manager, Operations - New Markets is a dynamic new role in Data Ventures that will serve as a direct partner for our in-market teams. This exciting opportunity will be critical in operationalizing the Data Ventures business as we expand to new markets and will work with stakeholders across both US and global banners. The role is based in Bentonville, AR and reports to the Director of New Markets for Data Ventures in the Revenue organization.

Walmart Data Ventures is looking for an experienced Senior Manager, Operations who will be central to the global expansion of the Data Ventures business by serving as the operational support for a market. This role requires a dynamic individual who seeks to understand unique perspective across teams to drive toward mutually beneficial outcomes, builds strong relationships, solves problems, is deeply curious, a self-starter, detail-oriented, advocates for their partners with respect, and cultivates data-driven decisions. This role will have broad exposure across both global and US operations, sales, marketing, training, account management, business development, product, engineering, and data teams. This role will be the connective glue across global teams.

The ideal candidate will bring experience operationalizing global business models, with a strong background in program and project management, stakeholder leadership, and business operations with some experience in business process improvement. The ideal candidate will also have experience with data analytics and enterprise program management tools to ensure standardized processes and ways of working across global teams.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations, or related field and 5 years' experience in operations, project management, or related area.
  • 2 years experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • 3 years experience using intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years supervisory experience.
  • Fluent in Spanish.
  • Project management certification.

Managing the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships iwht key stakeholders; developing new innovations and tools and continuously improving methodology; leveraging best practices from cross-functional partners to streamline and improve processes; analyszing and interpreting information for one or more initative work streams to improve business efficiency; developing creative solutions within business areas to reduce costs and meet business goals; ensuring data accuracy; using knowledge and experience of the business to determine what activities must be done by serving as subject matter expert; devleoping and implementing scorecards and other tracking mechanisms; creating new innovations for activation; collaboring with and influencing internal partners in support of strategies; and driving executiohn to meet metrics through customer service and platform development.

Ensuring business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initatives; consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost effectiveness; and participating in and supporting outreach events.

Driving activities and projects that generate revenue, offset operational expenses, mitigate loss, and allocate or influence budgeting spending by researching and integrating information and data; applying business measures and analyses to identify improvement opportunities; analyzing and interpreting information by using varous analytical methodologies for one or more initiative workstreams to improve busines efficiency; developing creative solutions within business areas that reduce costs and meet business goals; using judgment to prioritize assignments; and ensuring data accuracy.

This candidate will have potential for future people leadership opportunities across a growing portfolio of new market expansion in Data Ventures. Periodic international travel is to be expected as part of this role, and sponsorship is not offered.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
