This role sits within the Fraud Strategy team, where you will play a key role in managing returns abuse and fraud on the ecommerce platform. This role will lead a team to execute on initiatives that drive positive impact across Walmart's bottom line. In addition, you'll be collaborating with multiple business, tech, and product teams to ensure success, reduce losses, and build a sustainable fraud prevention program.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Risk Analytics Manager to join our team. The Risk Analytics Manager will be responsible for leveraging their analytical expertise and risk domain knowledge to drive cross-functional initiatives. They will be responsible for data mining, executing queries in SQL/BigQuery, creating and analyzing dashboards using Tableau (PowerBI is also acceptable), and providing risk exposure insights. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in risk management, possess excellent analytical and communication skills, and be able to work effectively across multiple time zones.

You'll make an impact by...
Strategy Planning:
- A key component of the role will be to develop various input and output metrics we will use to evaluate our progress, which will serve as the backbone of our reporting and analysis process. This role will also leverage strong data extraction skills to develop reporting deliverables, create ad hoc analyses, build dashboards on business results and performance, provide insights used to help business planning, and implement ideas for process improvement.
- Address ambiguous strategic questions facing the business and collaborate with leaders across Walmart to build business cases for new business initiatives.
- Ensure smooth execution of these initiatives across diverse cross-functional partners.
Special Projects and In-depth Analysis:
- Act as the primary point of contact for returns abuse team, offering insights into metric movements and trends and providing data-driven insights.
- Support decision-making by specifying requirements for developing analytic capabilities, platforms, pipelines, and metrics, and then use them to analyze trends and identify root causes.
- Lead and conduct ad hoc analyses, ranging from analyzing new patterns to identifying the root causes of revenue fluctuations.
- Work independently as the go-to person for day-to-day analytical needs.

- Utilize advanced analytics and risk domain expertise to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Execute complex queries in SQL/BigQuery to extract and analyze data for risk assessment purposes.
- Perform data mining to identify trends, patterns, and potential areas of concern.
- Develop and maintain dashboards using Tableau (PowerBI is also acceptable) to track and visualize risk metrics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Tech, and Business, to drive initiatives and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Provide risk exposure insights and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
- React quickly to urgent requests and work with shorter deadlines to address risk-related queries and concerns.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, emerging trends, and regulatory requirements related to risk management
You'll sweep us off our feet if...
- You have 8-10 years of experience in Risk Analytics or a related role.
- BA/BS in Business, Analytics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong knowledge of ecommerce Risk and Fraud Management Principles and practices.
- 3+ years in eCommerce (preferably eComm Returns or Marketplace).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00-$155,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
