What you'll do:
- Drive the Data Loss Prevention Program: Own the development and implementation processes for data loss prevention controls, including the analysis of data, products, and usage, as well as the creation and maintenance of detection logic.
- Collaborate with Internal Teams: Collaborate effectively with internal functional and business areas to ensure alignment with security, data, and privacy frameworks, initiatives, and policies.
- Protect our Data: Protect the data of millions of customers, associates, and Walmart's global infrastructure through innovative problem-solving and diligent data management.

What you'll bring:
- Technical Advocacy: Demonstrates the ability to drive technical initiatives, update technical configurations, and advocate for change with minimal oversight.
- Quality Assurance: Ensures accuracy, consistency, and reliability in DLP event data, along with providing necessary updates to standard operating procedures.
- Mentorship and Guidance: Guides and mentors team members on DLP operations, documenting team processes, overseeing projects, and assisting with monthly reporting.
- Data Incident Identification: Identifies data leak incidents not triggered by an alert/policy while reviewing DLP policies and making change recommendations.
- Collaborative Influence: Builds and maintains effective internal and external partnerships, communicating technical outcomes, and facilitating shared goals with diverse groups by aligning their interests with the business.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience specifically in data loss prevention technologies creating and implementing new detection logic.
- Strong adversarial and analytical expertise. Comfortable reviewing data to identify control gaps and recommending countermeasures.
- Experience building and testing regular expressions and data dictionaries with minimal supervision.
- Intermediate expertise with one or more scripting languages (e.g., Python) and query languages (e.g., SQL) for implementing basic automation.
- Adept at reviewing data flows, network diagrams, and other documentation for new applications and identifying appropriate data controls and locations.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
