Sam’s Club Product team is looking for an experienced Portfolio Manager drive visibility and improvements within Sam’s Club Product PMO and with our internal Continuous Planning Tools

About the Team
As a member of the team, you will be a trustded advisor to senior leadership with visibility across the entire portfolio. You will work closely with senior Product leadership in Supply Chain for Portfolio support, as well as all Product leaders for Continuous Improvement activities.

As a Principal TechOps, you will have accountability to the Supply Chain portfolio as well as the business partner for our in-house continuous planning tool.

· Align programs, projects and operations to strategic objectives

· LRP & AOP for the Portfolio – Bottom’s up ask, Top down ask, negotiation and agreement

· Provide guidance and recommendations around measuring, ranking, and prioritizing programs and projects

· Enable accountability of prioritization of portfolio programs

· Collaborate to balance multiple priorities including unexpected projects that surface

· Understand, prioritize, and UAT the continuous planning tool

· Support training throughout the organization on our continuous planning tool; become first line of defense between support team / users and Product / Dev

Ongoing accountability includes collaboration across the portfolio and requires consistent review cadences with trusted data points.

· Work with the Experience Team to define KPI and targets for the Portfolio

· Partner with the Data team to build a Portfolio Score card, validation and reporting

· Track progress through setting up the right cadences and report progress against OKRs to teams, cross functional stakeholders and Walmart leadership

· Provide accomplishments and key portfolio metrics for All Hands and Townhalls

· Become the trusted business partner for our in-house continuous planning tool

Deliverables:

Ongoing communication and assessment of the portfolio is critical to realizing strategic goals. The below deliverables will support the responsibilities listed above:

· Portfolio – Product/ Dev Manager owner sync up

· Planning deliverables

· Portfolio reporting and Scorecard

· Prioritization model (including leadership alignment and understanding)

· Establish standard reporting template(s)

· Monthly wins & accomplishment for Portfolio

· Prepare Business Reviews and Deep Dive, Portfolio specific materials for All Hands

What you will bring:

Skills:

Proficiency in technical and soft skills are required for success in this role. Emphasis on core competencies allows faster alignment and portfolio negotiations to occur. It also establishes a foundation to build trust and accelerate alignment.

· Knowledge about Portfolio​ Management

· Program Management​

· Financial Management​

· Knowledgeable about contract renewal processes and timelines

· System (people, process, technology, places) design & optimization

· Process Improvement experience

· Successfully been a Project or Program Manager for several large-scale efforts

· Excellent verbal and written communications skills

· Skilled in Data-driven, objective analysis and recommendations

· Comfortable presenting to and persuading at the Director and Vice-Presidential level

· Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Management, Business or related field; experience may be substituted for degree + Minimum of 5+ experience in project management or change management

· Proficiency at core competencies: Communication/Influence, Planning, Adaptability, Teamwork, Judgement, Customer Centered

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
