What you'll do...

We are looking for a seasoned engineer to lead the development of our
actionable marketing data insights platform at Walmart. In this role, you will
spearhead the creation of new real-time solutions by leveraging large
volumes of data in the cloud and utilizing the latest Gen AI tools. You will
architect and build high-volume, high-throughput, customer-facing data
processing pipelines and services that empower our business and site
merchandising associates with insights to optimize and increase organic
search traffic.

throughput, customer-facing real-time data processing pipelines, services,
and analytics. As a member of our team, you will work alongside a dedicated
group of engineers to develop innovative solutions that provide actionable
insights to our business and site merchandising associates. These insights
are crucial for optimizing and increasing organic search traffic, ensuring
that we can connect our customers with Walmart's extensive range of
products and service offerings. Our work directly impacts the customer
experience, making it easier for millions of people to discover and access
everything Walmart has to offer.

What You'll Do:
- Architect and Propose New Solutions: Work with relevant stakeholders
across the product, engineering, and business spectrum to architect and
propose new solutions. Create cloud-hosted solutions for large-scale data
processing and real-time applications.
- Lead a Team of Engineers: Lead a team of engineers, providing guidance
and mentorship on engineering and architectural best practices.
- Lead Technical Discussions: Drive technical discussions and documentation
with internal and external partners. Translate product requirements into
engineering deliverables.
- Guide and Collaborate: Guide and collaborate with the team on
implementation, testing, and deployment of solutions.
- Mentorship: Provide mentorship and technical guidance to the team. Own
reliability from resolving production incidents and conducting RCAs to
setting up automated processes to reduce future incidents.

What You'll Bring:
- Hands-On Coding Experience: Proficiency in Java, Scala, and Python.
- Large-Scale Data Processing: Experience with large-scale data processing
pipelines, data management, and analysis.
- Architectural Expertise: Proven ability to articulate complex architectures,
propose new architectural opportunities, and influence stakeholders for
required commitment and support.
- AI Expertise: Hands-on experience building AI Agents, working with LLM
Models, and knowledge of related tools and capabilities.
- Proven Expertise: Strong background in JavaScript, TypeScript, and web
fundamentals.
- Node.js or Linux: Experience with Node.js or strong Linux fundamentals.
- Leadership in Projects: Experience leading and documenting highly
technical projects.
- Reliability and Troubleshooting: A track record of troubleshooting
production incidents, writing RCAs, and improving overall reliability.
Additional Skills We Consider a Plus:
- Understanding or hands-on experience with Marketing Platforms and
Search Engine Optimization.
- Experience working with commercial and open-source marketing tools and
products.
- Knowledge of and experience with Search Generative Experience is a huge
bonus.
- Working experience with customer-facing, high-transaction, e-commerce
applications is a plus.

The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00-$286,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
