Our mission is to activate Walmart’s people-led and tech-powered strategy by building world-class people experiences that attract, enable, and grow the workforce of the future.
The Academy Learning product team at Walmart is faced with complex problems as we build out the experiences that enable the largest private workforce in the world. Our mission is to make sure that associates stay compliant and safe, have the knowledge to be successful in their jobs and have access to the learning that will enable their development. Walmart Academy also includes a world-class instructor-led training program which has needs a fresh look as far as the digital journey. Ultimately, we have ambitions to transform the entire associate journey and supporting experiences as it relates to how associates learn across the world.

About the role...
We are looking for a Principal Product Manager - Academy Experience to help drive the next evolution of learning at Walmart. Your mission is to simplify the associate experience with best-in-class digital experiences and AI to Walmart associates around the globe in offices, stores, clubs, and beyond. Your focus will be on the digital learning experience as well as ensuring the ecosystems supporting that learning are robust and flexible enough to change.
You will lead the vision and strategy for the learning digital experience leveraged by associates around the world. You will be forward-looking, revolutionizing how front-line learners can develop through things like conversational learning, leverage of agents and optimizing the different in-house and 3rd party learning content can be consumed and learned. Examples of the opportunities you might tackle include tackling the problem of how to give associates time while still helping them to learn, defining agents that provide just-in-time-learning, connecting associates to learning content that will help them grow into the next leaders of Walmart. The scope and impact of this role is significant. You will be a storyteller, connecting the dots between the complex learning systems landscape and how we are making it easier for associates to achieve their ambitions. You will be a bridge-builder; the learning space at Walmart is multi-faceted and your ability to build trust-based relationships, backed up by consistent say-do follow through, is a must.

What You Will Do...
- Deeply understand associate needs and industry innovation to drive the product vision and strategy for Learning at Walmart, maximizing business and user impact.
- Develop and drive the product roadmap for the learning experience, aligning with company goals and user needs.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to build AI-powered native experiences and improvements, leveraging your technical background to drive innovative experience.
- Partner closely with senior management and business stakeholders to define and align vision, strategy, and roadmaps, ensuring effective communication and alignment of expectations.
- Foster a metrics-driven environment that encourages quality experimentation and sets high standards for measuring product success.
- Stay informed about industry advancements, conduct comprehensive buy vs. build analysis, and influence their direction to align with state-of-the-art solutions, encouraging ROI-based decisions.
- Create continuous feedback loops with Walmart associates and development teams to ensure we solve the right problems and drive maximum impact.
- Exhibit robust problem-solving and decision-making skills, tackling technical and strategic challenges in innovative ways and leveraging data and intuition to make strategic choices in the face of ambiguity and complexity.
- Ensure thoughtful product evolution that addresses the product lifecycle and adoption experience.
What you’ll bring...
- 9+ years' experience as a product manager.
- Experience in creating strategic roadmap, deployment of robust, consumer-grade end-user experiences and experience in building some AI/ML/Data Science solutions, incorporated in your products.
- Self-starter mindset with a strong attention to detail and an ability to deal with ambiguity.
- Experience with AI/ML technologies and conversational experiences.
- Data-driven decision-making skills.
- Customer obsession and the ability to develop solutions that delight.
- Experience working with UX designers to create intuitive experiences.
- Comfortability engaging with various stakeholders of varying levels across multiple domains
- Ability to stay organized, disciplined, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Comfortability dealing with ambiguity.
- Ability to manage challenges and ready to engage at Fortune 1 scale.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor's degrees, including English Language Learning and short-form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

The ideal candidate would have knowledge of accessibility best practices and join us as we continue to create accessible products and services following Walmart’s accessibility standards and guidelines for supporting an inclusive culture.
