Position Summary...

The Global Marketplace and Ecommerce Compliance division within Walmart is responsible for defining, enforcing, and promoting policies, programs and products to ensure safe transactions and create trust perception across our online and marketplace businesses.

What you'll do...

The Manager, eCommerce Compliance, Item Risk - Quality and Continuous Improvement will be accountable for quality and continuous improvement of item risk detection, controls and enforcement for Business, Compliance Policies and Internal Standards. This role will specifically focus on item risk controls performance - audit, reporting, optimization, and enhancements for risk detection and monitoring. This role will partner with various teams including Compliance, Retail, Operations, Legal, Policy Governance, Product and Tech teams.

An ideal candidate will be highly customer focused, organized and detail oriented. This position requires a hands-on, entrepreneurial style and forward thinking to manage functional responsibilities and key relationships in item risk management and improvements. We are looking for a cross-functional team player who operates with a sense of urgency, understands working within gray areas and tech challenges, and is comfortable working in an agile and growing team.

What you’ll do….

  • Develop, manage and support audit standards and practices for quality assurance and quality controls with item risk to improve efficacy and effectiveness with item detection.
  • Monitor and analyze rule logic and item data to identify gaps, trends, opportunities to improve controls, processes, tools, and trainings.
  • Provide regular assessment feedback to teams on deficiencies, operational opportunities, and recommendations to decrease errors, improve item results and/or opportunities for process improvements.
  • Implement meaningful integration and operational changes to mature item risk detection.
  • Generate summaries for cross-functional partners and leadership related to ongoing projects.
  • Consult and collaborate with cross-functional teams and SMEs to solicit feedback, evaluate, address issues, and improve controls and processes as needed for projects related to item risk mitigation.
  • Develop and support process documentation, learning and development, implementation of new item risk initiatives, processes and workflows.

What you’ll bring….

  • Experience with eCommerce marketplaces, risk management or site management.
  • Resourceful and intellectually curious mentality, not afraid to ask questions and dig into issues.
  • Experience working with partners and teammates across different time zones and cultures.
  • Demonstrated success with engaging cross-functional technology and business teams.
  • Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Salesforce.
  • Understanding of team management principles.
  • Interest in history, pop culture, trivia, puzzles, or avid online shopper a plus.
  • Experience with SQL a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience
  • 5-7 years' experience in eCommerce, operations, fraud/risk management and/or compliance.
  • Experience in management of high-risk areas, such as regulatory matters, counterfeit or intellectual property claims, or offensive content.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and intermediate to advanced Excel skills with experience with macros.
  • Experience in program management.
  • Detail-oriented, critical thinker with strong organization and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with people at a variety of levels.
  • Independent team player that can build relationships with partners and keep teammates informed and engaged.

Bentonville, Arkansas US-09401:The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00-$155,000.00



















Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...
