Position Summary...

What you'll do...

Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales.Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans; using the Open Door Policy; and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices.Financial Acumen: Understand the drivers of the financial metrics that impact the business. Perform analyses based on independent reasoning to draw appropriate conclusions. Analyze business and financial data and supports the implementation and tracking of business plans that enable the attainment of financial goals. Understand the impact of factors and trends that may affect financial performance. Communicate the results of analyses to diverse audiences.Category Strategy and Management: Identify savings opportunities and plan, make recommendations, and execute for moderately complex categories. Ensure delivery against business goals by making recommendations to reduce risks to the business. Review category segmentation and suggest optimization based on category needs and changes. Recommend changes to plans based on industry and category trends. Develop and track supplier performance metrics. Review category segmentation. Build Total Cost of Ownership / cleansheet models with limited guidance.Source Selection: Gather customer requirements for competitive bid scenarios. Develop supplier scorecards. Identify and evaluate sources of supply using defined criteria. Build business case to allocate and re-allocate non-strategic business among suppliers. Identify risks and recommend modifications on mitigating risks in low complexity supply chains. Establish pros and cons of different event formats and methods, supplier communication plans, event planning with milestones, and contingency planning.Negotiation: Facilitate contractual negotiations for relatively small projects and provide support for complex negotiations. Develop and present factual, rational, and compelling arguments while anticipating roadblocks and objections. Ensure negotiations adhere to company and regulatory processes, values, and policies. Seek guidance on and escalate complex legal and/or regulatory issues. Understand and articulate position of company and comprehend and address other parties' strengths and weaknesses through active listening techniques.Contract Management: Identify and understand contract components, validate contract components, and identify contract components which do not comply with standard templates or differ from multiple contracts within a category. Make decisions based on contract risks and understand when to escalate contract risks and outline mitigating actions. Ensure contract variations or amendments comply with legislation or policy when managing a type of contracts. Apply processes for contract review and exercise extension options, contract expiry, and transition out.Supplier Relationship Management: Review supplier details, assess supplier capabilities and competencies against business needs, and submit recommendations to leadership. Monitor and report on supplier performance and implement strategies to improve supplier performance through negotiation of Key Performance Indicators and Service Level Agreements. Collaborate with suppliers and stakeholders to identify and implement innovative ideas. Identify new and emerging suppliers with differentiating core capabilities.Influential Communication: Organize and communicate thoughts in an inter-divisional/inter-departmental setup. Present to and influence teams, customers, and clients, conveying complex information and addressing ambiguity in a constructive manner. Independently assemble and prepare reports, materials, and storylines that have a structure and logical flow and are based on relevant, fact-based information. Influence the teams and leaders to take action based on recommendations. Seek and provide constructive feedback, anticipate needs and questions, and respond appropriately.Problem Solving: Independently use fact-finding techniques and diagnostic tools to identify and break down procurement problems. Independently work on multiple problems which are specific in nature. Suggest multiple alternatives approaches/solutions based on internal and external benchmarking. Understand the perspective of each involved stakeholder and seek perspectives as appropriate to drive to resolution. Collaborate with stakeholders within function to ensure implementation of the recommended solutions.Data & Digital Literacy: Delineate the problem, leverage data to determine the root cause, and apply the information to find a solution. Ensure data quality and organization, process information for analysis, define benchmarks and quality rules for key data assets. Participate in the feedback loop between data-intake and insights and continually work on improving the data-collection process. Identify and propose ways to automate and/or improve existing procurement processes with the help of technology. The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00-$130,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
