Position Summary...

What you'll do...

As the Director of Product Safety & Compliance, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of the US Product Safety & Compliance programs. You will be a key contributor to the strategy and future planning for Product Safety & Compliance program, while directly managing a team of diverse talent.

You'll make an impact by:

  • Supporting the development and maintenance of Walmart's Product Safety and Compliance programs by providing input into and directing program development and execution; driving the monitoring of these programs across the organization; and proactively mitigating any risks associated with Walmart within this area of expertise.
  • Leading and directing a team, ensuring the development and implementation of the Product Safety and Compliance program consistent with Walmart's Global Compliance & Ethics objectives and Legal requirements.
  • Monitoring of and coordination with Walmart's external 3rd party lab partners in execution of the Product Safety and Compliance testing program.

You'll sweep us off our feet if...

  • 5+ years of experience in Product Safety and Compliance.
  • Experience building and executing compliance programs. Experience interpreting legal obligations and determining business impact.
  • Solid track record of delivering operational efficiencies to a program risk and/or compliance program using data and predictive analytics
  • Experience leading teams and communicating across several business stakeholders.
  • You are a strategic, influential, and progressive product safety leader with the ability to translate business challenges into actionable solutions in a highly complex, rapidly evolving environment.
  • You are someone who builds trust and credibility and inspires associates across the business.
  • You are action-oriented, resourceful, and approachable while also having the ability to influence and lead change.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field and 5 years' experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area OR 7 years' experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area. 3 years' supervisory experience. 4 years' experience using intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office.
