Position Summary...

What you'll do...

Manage and direct associates and management in operations and production by assigning duties and coordinating workloads; developing and communicating goals, monitoring performance, and providing feedback; providing opportunities for learning and growth; teaching and supporting optical manufacturing procedures and company policies; hiring, promoting, coaching, training, and evaluating associates.

Implement operational improvements by developing and executing strategic business plans for operations and production; forecasting staffing needs; and monitoring facility performance against the needs of the business.

Monitor and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and directives by developing, distributing, and/or maintaining procedures and supporting documentation; and resolving internal/external Customer and associate concerns; includes state-specific and federal regulatory procedures (for example, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), hazardous waste management).

Manage financial aspects in operations and production by preparing budgets; monitoring and tracking expenses compared to budget; reviewing and approving purchases; monitoring the management of assets and utilization strategies; and preparing, reviewing, and/or analyzing business reports.

Serve as a community liaison by participating in local and community organizations and charitable activities; and championing company-sponsored programs and events to associates, Customers, and the local community.

Communicate with Customers, suppliers, and/or other Wal-Mart associates verbally or in writing.

The annual salary range for this position is $79,000.00-$169,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:

- Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)

- Stock




Minimum Qualifications...

Minimum Qualifications:4 years of senior management experience (i.e., supervises other managers) in a manufacturing, optical, facility/plant operations, distribution, or logistics environment OR 1 year experience as a Wal-Mart Optical Area Manager (level II) OR 2 years senior management experience (i.e., supervises other managers) as a Wal-Mart manager (non-optical)
