We are looking for a backend Staff Software Development Engineer with exceptional technical skills and a passion for delivering great software to join our fast-moving and highly entrepreneurial team. This role will be focused on building Item setup Seller center and Partner API platform. Our team is growing, and we are looking for a highly motivated Staff Software Engineer - Full stack who will play a critical role in the design and implementation of some of our core applications in the Seller Center experience. The Seller Center platform team's mission is to offer a best-in-class, consistent, scalable & predictable ecosystem for Walmart partners and solution providers.

Marketplace Engineering team is at the forefront of building core platforms and services to enable Walmart to deliver vast selection at competitive prices and with best-in-class post-order experience by enabling third-party sellers to list, sell and manage their products to our customers on walmart.com. We do this by managing the entire seller lifecycle, monitoring customer experience, and deliver high- value insights to our sellers to help them plan their assortment, price, inventory. The team also actively collaborates with partner platform teams to ensure we continue to deliver the best experience to our sellers and our customers.
What You'll Do
- Develop highly scalable services and solve complex software systems problems.
- Lead the technical architecture across multiple scrum teams to ensure compliance to the target architecture. Work with the teams to ensure there is no deviation from the architecture vision
- Provide technical direction, architecture leadership and expertise to the team.
- Participate in the discovery phase of complex cross functional projects to come up with creative solutions to highly complex problems, work on high level design covering cross functional systems
- Lead by example. Show your chops as an exceptional and experienced developer, including thoughtful code reviews, testing, rollout, monitoring, and proactive changes.
- Reviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with applications design and development guidelines and standards; provides tangible feedback to improve product quality and mitigate failure risk.
- Work closely with engineering managers, tech leads, software engineers, product managers and business teams to architect technology solutions to meet the business and technology vision.
- Troubleshoot open issues and bug-fixes, ensuring on-time delivery and hand-offs.
- Collaborate with product on technical feasibility and implementation strategies.
- Provide support to the business by responding to users' questions, concerns, and issues.
- Collaborate with and execute major cross-platform executions as a team, or independently when needed Document knowledge and processes
- Utilize strong interpersonal skills in working with numerous internal teams and expand personal and team knowledge of new and upcoming products Contribute in all phases of the development life cycle and write well-designed, testable, efficient code
What You will Bring:
- Bachelor's Degree or Master's degree in Computer Science with 7+ years of experience.
- Strong computer science fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, databases, operating systems, etc.
- Expertise in Java, Object Oriented Programming, Design Patterns.
- Experience designing, building and maintaining large scale, real-time cloud applications.
- Experience with loosely coupled services using asynchronous message processing including Kafka.
- Experience working on cloud scale relational and No-SQL databases.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and best practices.
- Working with cloud services like COSMOS, GCP, or Azure, and container technologies such as Docker on Kubernetes.
- Experience in building big data solutions using Java, kafka messaging, apache spark, solr and Cassandra no sql using cloud-based deployment strategy.
- Experience in debugging and monitoring application health and technical issues using Grafana, Splunk, Dynatrace and Logmon.
- Experience in writing and executing complete testing plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned portion of application; identifies and debugs and creates solutions for issues with code and integration into application architecture.
- Experience in software quality and operational excellence practices.
- Experience in agile development methodology.

The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00-$286,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
