We're building Walmart Data Ventures from the ground up, and high-quality Product Design is critical to our foundation. Our disruptive data products serve millions of customers, suppliers, and associates across our unique user ecosystem. As a Staff Content Strategist , your core mission will be to bring clarity and simplicity to a complex suite of data products, via strong content, copywriting, and systems of language.

You'll work across functions and stakeholder groups, contributing your deep knowledge of the human-centered design process to deliver new products at the appropriate speed and level of fidelity to inform strategic business decisions . About Data Ventures:

Data Ventures exists to unlock the full value of Walmart's data by delivering enterprise data products that empower our biggest merchants and suppliers to make better, faster decisions. We're seeking entrepreneurial individuals to help define our products from concept to deployment.

What you'll do:

  • Deliver high quality writing and copy that creates a high - quality product experience
  • Create and own the systems of language that span our full product experience - everything from naming new products down to calls to action, nouns, verbs, and single-sentence micro-copy on a tooltip
  • Work to understand the retail data landscape, and deliver product experiences that reflect conventional, industry-standard language and terminology in a sensible, easy to understand package
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners in Product Design , User Research, Product Management, Product and Brand Marketing, Data Science, and beyond
  • Lead content r esearch and testing to inform product positioning, naming, and usability through language
  • Conduct audits across the end-to-end user journey to ensure content accuracy, quality, and performance
  • Lead and own projects with minimal oversight
  • Craft and deliver high quality presentations, with clear rationale , across teams and up to leadership
  • Help build design team operations that serve our team's and product's needs today, and can scale efficiently and at quality as we grow
  • Contribute to hiring and team growth, within Content Design and beyond, and help us continue to establish a world-class product design function

What you bring:

  • A portfolio showcasing shipped content design, strategy, and copywriting work, preferably for high profile, high complexity brands and product.
  • Passion for making the complex simple to understand, and easy for non-experts to action on.
  • Outstanding writing and editing skills, with p roven ability to craft copy and messaging that reflects market convention while respecting brand tone and voice
  • Deep understanding of design thinking methodologies and user- / human-centered product design and development
  • Passion and master y for your craft - no detail is too small, and no product too large. You give the same love, attention , and care, no matter the problem.
  • Hyper collaborative, highly opinionated - you thrive in diverse teams alongside other smart, driven people, and you articulate your ideas and opinions with clarity. You drive toward alignment, while respecting opposing points of view.
  • Expertise in collaborative, co-design methodologies. You're comfortable designing and facilitating workshops and working sessions that cut through ambiguity, and align opposing points of view with designers and non-designer audiences.
  • Truly entrepreneurial, you navigate teams, organizations, and product spaces with genuine curiosity, and bias toward taking action without waiting to be asked
  • You're excited about hypergrowth. You've built or led teams and initiatives in rapid growth environments, and the prospect of our organization doubling its size in 12 months doesn't terrify you ( completely , at least)
  • Minimum of 6 years experience in content design and strategy for marketing or product

Bonus points:

  • People management / leadership experience - while this role is the first Content Strategist in our team, we will be growing the function. Desire to manage people is not required, but is a possibility.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. Hoboken, New Jersey US-10279:The annual salary range for this position is $132,000.00-$264,000.00

Sunnyvale, California US-04396/San Bruno, California US-08848:The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00-$286,000.00

Bentonville, Arkansas US-10735:The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00

















Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...
