About Team :

Marketplace Engineering team is at the forefront of building core platforms and services to enable Walmart to deliver vast selection at competitive prices and with best-in-class customer experience by enabling third-party sellers to the marketplace platform, sell and manage their products to our customers on walmart.com. We do this by managing the entire seller lifecycle, monitoring customer experience, and deliver high- value insights to our sellers to help them plan their assortment, price, inventory. The team also actively collaborates with partner platform teams to ensure we continue to deliver the best experience to our sellers and our customers.

The Marketplace Offer Exposure team solves for traffic and conversion growth for our sellers. We work in close partnerships with cross- functional engineering, data science/ML teams, design, legal compliance, and technical program, where you will lead engineers to execute on the product vision & roadmap to deliver on well-defined business objectives. You will be responsible for building experiences for our Sellers to manage their growth and marketing campaigns by providing seamless onboarding, campaign workflows and analytics dashboard. You will closely work with Data Science team to build models to help with Seller's growth.

What you'll do :

  • Participate in medium to large-scale projects by reviewing project requirements; translating requirements into technical solutions; gathering requested information (for example, design documents, product requirements, wire frames); writing and developing code; conducting unit testing; communicating status and issues to team members and stakeholders; collaborating with project team and cross functional teams; troubleshooting open issues and bug-fixes; ensuring on-time delivery and hand-offs; interacting with project manager to provide input on project plan; and providing leadership to the project team.
  • Worth with other small groups of four to six engineers, including offshore associates, for assigned engineering projects by providing pertinent documents, direction, and examples; identifying short- and long-term solutions and timeline; reviewing and providing feedback for prosed solutions; and performing design and code reviews of changes.
  • Troubleshoot business and production issues by gathering information (for example, issue, impact, criticality, possible root cause); engaging support teams to assist in the resolution of issues; formulating an action plan; performing actions as designated in the plan; interpreting the results to determine further action; performs root cause analysis to prevent future occurrence of issues; and completing online documentation.

What you'll bring :

  • Specialization in one of the following: Backend development: Java, Spring, Springboot, REST, RPC
  • Experience with modern unit testing frameworks
  • Experience building Microservices
  • Experience working on relational and NoSQL databases
  • Well versed in both private and public cloud technologies
  • Deep understanding of architecture and data-driven development
  • A strong sense of ownership
  • Experience building and maintaining a production application
  • An ability to balance a sense of urgency with shipping high quality and pragmatic solutions
  • Experience working with large codebase on a cross functional team
  • Experience in building large scale systems

The annual salary range for this position is $108,000.00-$216,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
