What you'll do...

You will be part of a global engineering team that caters to learning needs for all associates across the globe at Walmart. The team leverages/implements standard modules as well as builds custom developments that integrate with several systems meant for associate learning related solutions. The solutions developed could potentially enable millions of users achieve efficiency in their day to day processes and thus enable massive cost savings for Walmart.

What you'll do:

Your Responsibility shall include:
• Engage with enterprise and business/infrastructure functions to establish, track, and optimize operational metrics and targets in line with SRE principles (SLO/SLI, Latency percentiles , error budgets, tech debt and setup alert guidelines)
• Work with Observability tools and enterprise monitoring solutions like Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic, Prometheus, Graphite, Grafana, Nagios, Sensu and Splunk . Should be able to write promQLs and Splunk queries
• Design and implement systems with a focus on resilience, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery. Identify and address potential points of failure to ensure uninterrupted service.
• Design and build managed services infrastructure at scale, catering to diverse user needs. Ensure the scalability and reliability of managed services in both public and private cloud environments (e.g., Azure, GCP) and on-premise.

What you'll bring:
• 7-10 years of experience in building highly - scalable applications and platform development.
• Good programming experience in any language of choice Go/Scala/Python/Java
• Experience with containerisation and container platforms. (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Docker EE, OpenShift, Mesosphere).
• Experience with enterprise monitoring solutions like AppDynamics, New Relic, Prometheus, Graphite, Grafana, Nagios, Sensu and

Splunk
• Deep understanding of continuous integration/deployment processes and tools such as Jenkins, Maven, Nexus, etc
• Good knowledge of RDBMS and No-SQL databases.
• Awareness about Big Data systems
• Proficient in problem solving and working with large scale systems.
• Ability to adapt to change quickly, willingness to learn new and emerging technologies
• Awareness of Agile (Scrum) methodologies

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
