What you'll do...

This position is located at the brand-new Walmart Headquarters in Bentonville, Arkansas.

Join the U.S. Import Trade Compliance organization to support the Compliance - Audit & Regulatory area for the world's largest retailer. The Senior Manager is critical to the U.S. Import Trade Compliance Program. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance through development and enhancement of audit programs, monitoring trends and advising key stakeholders of regulatory changes that could impact the business; communicating with key government agencies (primarily US Customs) and managing the country-of-origin process to ensure compliance with all regulations for imports into the United States. This role will report to the Director, Specialty Compliance and Ethics - Trade Compliance Audit & Regulatory Team.

What you'll do....

  • Enhance program effectiveness and efficiencies: Develop and implement changes to program requirements, systems, and processes to be more efficient and effective; identify program gaps and solutions.
  • Improve data quality: Collaborate with global stakeholders on data improvement opportunities for better risk identification.
  • Identify and mitigate risk: Establish metrics and processes for risk identification & monitoring associated with fines and penalties, and work with various stakeholders to mitigate risks as appropriate.
  • Build strategic relationships: Build relationships with global partners to help drive priorities.

What you'll bring....

  • Keen awareness of compliance and ethics concerns by monitoring trends in laws and regulations for imports into the United States.
  • Two or more years of experience in import compliance.
  • Experience developing a country-of-origin monitoring program and thorough understanding of regulations governing country of origin determinations.
  • U.S. and international experience.
  • You are adept at using data to understand problems and their impact/risk.
  • Project management experience.
  • You're a self-starter who can operate in a complex collaborative corporate structure with multiple stakeholders.
  • You're organized, disciplined, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • You have outstanding communication skills and are a master at making complex subjects easily understood.
  • You have high standards and can hold project contributors accountable.
  • U.S. Customs Broker License.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field and 4 years' experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area OR 6 years' experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area. 2 years' supervisory experience. 3 years' experience using intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office.
