What you'll do...

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager, Production Planner - Manufacturing to join our dynamic team at Walmart. This leadership role is integral in assisting the operation of our facility by developing, communicating, and implementing processes that meet business needs, optimizing production schedules, ensuring compliance with company policies and standards, and driving the execution of multiple business plans and projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process Development and Implementation: Develop, communicate, and implement processes and practices to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners. Analyze and apply information from multiple sources.
  • Production Scheduling: Implement production schedules that maintain adequate inventory levels, maximize production efficiencies, and meet customer fulfillment requirements.
  • Inventory Management: Ownership of the flow of direct materials within the manufacturing environment, manage the procurement, storage, dispensation, and inventory tracking of raw materials.
  • Compliance and Ethics: Demonstrate, promote, and support compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity. Use the Open Door Policy to assist management with correcting ethical and compliance issues.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze and apply information from multiple sources to monitor progress and results, identify improvement opportunities, and ensure the facility creates the correct items and has sufficient inventory available.
  • Collaboration: Work with Suppliers, Supply Chain, Production, and Home Office teams to determine weekly and monthly supply and sales outlooks.
  • Sales Forecasting: Support sales forecast analysis with respect to capacity planning and material requirements, and recommend changes to forecasts when needed.
  • Scheduling Strategies: Develop and implement scheduling run strategies to assist in the fulfillment of company material usage and efficiency goals.
  • Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional partners to resolve inventory issues and proactively address constraints by driving continuous improvement in increasing throughput, reducing cycle times, and improving production quality.
  • Supervision and Development: Provide supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training, mentoring, and coaching for success and improvement.
  • Driving Execution: Identify customer and operational needs, develop and communicate business plans and priorities, remove barriers and obstacles that impact performance.

  • Collaborating with Cross-Functional Partners: Resolve inventory issues and proactively address constraints, provide backup and coverage in crucial areas, and drive continuous improvement in increasing throughput, reducing cycle times, and improving production quality.
  • Ensuring Business Needs are Being Met: Evaluate the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives. Consult with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders. Solicit, evaluate, and apply suggestions for improving efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Additional Skills and Certifications

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
  • CPIM (Certified Planning and Inventory Management) APICS
  • Proficient in ERP Systems, SIOP, Inventory Management, Demand Forecasting, and Data Analysis

The annual salary range for this position is $116,000.00-$174,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:

- Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)

- Stock




Minimum Qualifications...

3 years’ experience working in a logistics supply chain or manufacturing environment.
3 years’ experience using computer applications (for example Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, Visio)
