Position Summary...

What you'll do...
Assortment Strategy & Management: Possess knowledge of: Assortment analytics sources and reports; assortment performance metrics; assortmentmanagement tools. To be able to carry out the following responsibilities: Works with merchants on assortment strategy and management for aspecific category or department; follows processes and procedures for managing assortment quality; assists with the development of lists ofassortment needs for a department or category; develops plans to address needs; records information used to assess assortment performance andopportunities; produces and uses basic reports. Business Process Improvement: Possess Knowledge of: Process improvement processes and guidelines; problem-solving methodologies; processdocumentation resources and policies. To be able to carry out the following responsibilities: Participates in defining organizational strategic goals andpurposes; defines strategies to gather and keep customers; analyzes business processes, identifies alternative solutions to outdated processes, andassesses feasibility; establishes requirements for large changes in the overall mission, roles, responsibilities, and processes necessary to makebusiness improvements; evaluates financial, cultural, technological, and other factors; recommends new approaches that seek the use of advancedtechnology; works to overcome business process improvement resistance from managers, the labor force, and other groups. Data Transformation & Integration: Possess knowledge of: Data quality guidelines; data customization techniques; data management tools; datatransformation processes. To be able to carry out the following responsibilities: Extracts data from identified databases; creates data pipelines andtransforms multiple data sources into usable data sets; develops knowledge of current data transformation processes; customizes transformed datasets for multiple audiences and reporting goals. Partnership & Collaboration: Possess knowledge of: Stakeholder identification and mapping; stakeholder analysis; stakeholder communication;stakeholder engagement techniques; stakeholder management effectiveness tools and methods; fluency in specialized business vernacular. To beable to carry out the following responsibilities: Builds, maintains, and enhances effective internal and external partnerships; influences outcomes andassists in communicating shared goals with diverse groups and parties; identifies and addresses additional partner needs and educates them onvalue creation; communicates with other individuals or teams to solve shared problems; identifies how changes in business strategy impact talent andrecruiting strategies; consults regularly with leaders of business unit(s) to advise on strategic decisions; brings ideas and solutions proactively to thebusiness and team members; promotes diversity and inclusion in the workplace. To be ableto carry out the following responsibilities: Understands future customer needs to monitor market trends for assigned category and makerecommendations; creates quarterly plans and enables implementation to achieve sourcing targets; recommends changes in merchandiseassortment based on customer feedback and local market preferences/ seasonality; recommends changes in product mix, SKU mix, prices, andassortment based on customer feedback; identifies and assesses the value of adopting or adapting elements of business models from otherindustries. Seller Lifecycle: Possess knowledge of: Seller segments, business structures, categories, and capabilities; key performance metrics and evaluationtechniques; market forces and global trends that may impact seller performance; business drivers for sellers, markets, and segments. To be able tocarry out the following responsibilities: Identifies new and emerging sellers with differentiating core capabilities; engages with sellers to gain insightson categories and market trends; monitors and reports on seller performance and implements strategies to improve performance; reviews sellerdetails, capabilities, and competencies and submits recommendations to leadership; collaborates with sellers and stakeholders to identify and implement innovative ideas. Digital Literacy and Analytics: Possess knowledge of: Sources of relevant data; data analysis techniques; data dashboard tools (for example,PowerBI, Tableau); sources of industry trend information; spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software. To be able to carry out the followingresponsibilities: Leverages data analysis tools to explore simple data; performs basic statistical analysis; derives insights; and creates basic reports;identifies, implements, and drives technology change within scope of work; uses visualization tools to represent data and construct coherent stories toinfluence decisions; explains how customer analytics can enhance customer relationship management; helps others locate learning resources relatedto customer analytics; identifies the business units currently using customer analytics within the organization; describes the major initiatives thatdepend on customer analytics for successful outcomes; explains the relationship between statistical measurement and business improvement;explains measurements of business performance and how to identify trends; describes the technology and core applications used for trackingbusiness performance and applying data to business decisions. Negotiation: Possess knowledge of: Negotiation techniques, tactics, tools, and processes; internal and external stakeholder mapping; regulatoryrequirements and management of supplier agreements. To be able to carry out the following responsibilities: Identifies similarities and differences inpositions and assesses impacts on discussions; protects company positions while demonstrating willingness to achieve "win-win"; successfullycompletes significant negotiations, both internal and external; ensures negotiators have awareness of complementary yet diverse interests; detectsand addresses lack of progress or stalemates; details the risks of negotiation breakdown from each party's perspective; leads fact-based decisions inhigh-risk situations (for example, industry trends for product development); seeks guidance on and escalates complex legal and/or regulatory issues. Retail Trends and Direction: Possess knowledge of: Overall business targets for respective business area; industry and competition trends andoutlooks; market potential; product categories, SKUs, relevant quantities, and seasonal/relevant trends; customer preferences and demand patterns;EDLC/Pricing and Variance analysis; market conditions; market positioning. The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
