Walmart Business (WMB) is a new initiative to save businesses, nonprofits and governments money, time and hassle so they can focus on their missions. Our aim is to leverage existing Walmart assets and build new capabilities to better serve organizational buyers. We’re bringing together the everyday low prices, omnichannel capabilities, and store footprint and community presence of Walmart with new experiences and functionality tailored to the unique needs of organizations.

Our team is seeking a Senior Manager, Marketing Campaign Strategy & Planning, to help in our efforts to build a world class customer facing brand to serve organizational buyers (B2B). In this role, you will be a crucial member of the Brand Marketing team for Walmart Business, which sits inside the enterprise US Marketing team. You will be responsible for leading the strategy, brief development, and building integrated marketing plans for various B2B campaigns throughout the year. Campaigns will span from media tentpole moments to drive brand awareness, to seasonal conversion-focused campaigns to drive GMV on the site. The individual will be customer-centric, innovative, and able to translate our customer value proposition into campaigns and assets that speak to organizational buyers/procurement teams across a diverse set industries. You will ensure we have the right messages targeted to the right customer at the right time, and ensure continuity with our brand style guide. You will also own inputs of the Brand campaigns into a master programming calendar and also preparing executive summary views of the holistic marketing calendar.

This role will work at the strategic level (using sales data, consumer insights and analysis) and at the operational level (making creative requests, process optimizations, calendar management). This role will work with WMB teams across Site Merchandising, UX, Product & Analytics to bring campaigns to life. You will also partner cross-functionally with teams within US Marketing, including Creative, Integrated Marketing Communications, Marketing Operations, Media Planning, and Category Marketing. You will also stay abreast of other internal B2C & B2B marketing teams campaigns and look for integration opportunities. You will provide creative direction to multiple agencies during asset development, as well as internal creative team members. This role will work across the WMB Marketing team channel owners, paid media planning partners and Site Merch teams to build marketing plans to activate campaigns.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the strategy for B2B campaigns, author marketing briefs, and develop integrated marketing plans for paid & owned media via internal teams and agency partners
  • Define deliverables for creative agencies, align on creative concepts w/ leadership, review all marketing assets & provide constructive feedback
  • Partner with media team to help guide decision making on campaign media plans; review results on a regular basis to determine success of creative/messages in market.
  • Partner with Analytics team to gather campaign insights that can be translated into actionable optimizations
  • Create compelling marketing assets tailored to B2B audiences & industries, including but not limited to display ads, paid social, OLV, branded content, email. Etc.
  • Work with in-house creative resources to develop campaign assets for the website, including campaign landing pages and promotional units for the home page & cross-category pages
  • Use market and competitor insights to understand how to cater our messages and customer value proposition for each campaign and moment in time
  • Help drive the development milestones of the campaign assets (as defined by our Ops team) by collaborating with internal and external partners and providing feedback to produce high-quality, engaging content
  • Act as main Marketing POC for the master programming calendar that has a tactical horizontal view of all planned marketing activations across the WMB Marketing team, including channel-level activations, internal & external events – will then translate into an executive view.
  • Create annual calendar to track key campaigns across other B2C & B2B marketing teams and work with marketing counterparts to identify potential integration opportunities
  • Help curate an annual editorial calendar of B2B-themed seasonal moments that could be leveraged for timely activations (e.g. social posts, customer newsletters) and use insights to map out broader business themes that can be leveraged in larger content campaigns
  • Collaborate with B2C marketing counterparts across the enterprise to promote integration of WMB within Walmart owned channel activations & seasonal campaigns
  • Foster innovation in creative approaches to enhance the impact of marketing assets
  • Ensure consistent representation of the brand in all customer materials
  • Act as a brand ambassador, reinforcing brand values and guidelines throughout the work

What You’ll Bring:

  • You have proven experience in leading full-funnel digital marketing campaigns and owned channels, ideally in the B2B space
  • You have the ability to analyze campaign performance data and make data-driven decisions to optimize future efforts
  • You have experience working with media agencies on building & executing paid media plans
  • You are organized, detail-oriented, and have exceptional project management skills with the abilities to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • You have experience working with design and creative resources, internal & agencies
  • You have experience building a growth-oriented brand
  • You have experience or deep interest in building a new business from the ground floor
  • You have experience in bringing a marketing brief to life and leading execution from concept to execution
  • You have strong storytelling abilities
  • You have an insatiable desire to understand the evolving customer
  • You are attuned to the competitive landscape
  • You have experience working in cross-functional teams
  • You are comfortable working in agile environments and are highly adaptable
  • You have strong people, communication and presentation skills that can be adapted to leadership teams, customers and agency partners
  • Experience with Airtable a plus

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
