Introduction:
The Senior Manager, Global Communications is a strategic communications professional with stakeholder management expertise, exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
About Global Communications:
As a member of the End-to-End Enablement Communications team, you will develop and operationalize communications in service of associates in Walmart’s stores and supply chain facilities across the United States. You will serve as a counselor to the business on reputation management and will ensure that all communications flowing from the Home Office to the field are clear, consistent, and relevant.

Equal parts writer, editor and project manager, the ideal candidate is a strong connector and integrator who embraces technology and can think on their feet to solve challenges and seize opportunities in-the-moment.
This role requires working across ambiguity and self-navigating a highly matrixed organization by managing up, down and across teams. The ideal candidate has experience managing complex, highly visible and often confidential communications, and possesses exceptional business acumen, emotional intelligence, and discretion.
What You’ll Bring:
- Expertise in operational communications in service of frontline associates – with an emphasis on message clarity, consistency, and relevance.
- Proven skills in stakeholder management, including business and legal partners, as well as Corporate Affairs peers.
- Critical thinking skills and the ability to move initiatives forward in the absence of an established process or playbook.
- A passion for communications at scale, and experience managing deliverables within multi-unit omnichannel organizations.
- Notable experience and acumen advising business leaders at any level.
- Comfort working with established and emerging technology platforms and systems.
- Enthusiasm about Walmart’s purpose – to help people save money and live better – and the values that bring that purpose to life each day.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in journalism, Communications, Public Relations, or related field and 6 years’ experience in corporate communications, public relations, or relevant area OR 10 years’ experience in corporate communications, public relations, or relevant area. 2 year’s supervisory experience or experience leading cross-functional teams.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
