What you'll do...

As a Senior Manager - Business Development you will work across Consumables on business wide digital strategy and special projects. You will lead cross-functional teams, establish strategic priorities, manage digital programs and initiatives to drive growth, develop robust partnerships with top Consumables suppliers and merchants, and use vision and creativity to impact the customer experience. You are constantly thinking about what is next for your business with big ideas to accelerate digital growth. Success in this role requires tenacity, an analytical mindset, influence, and a competitive spirit. You'll use your digital expertise, cross-functional partnership and thought leadership to solve interesting, complex challenges.

You'll sweep us off our feet if:

  • You are an intrapreneur and enjoy building new or scaling existing businesses; you love to test, learn, fail fast, and pivot when necessary.
  • You enjoy owning and developing plans for highly complex category strategy, supporting long term business plans and executing prioritized strategic initiatives.
  • You are data savvy: you can analyze competition, customer behavior, industry trends, and the macro environment.
  • You are omni channel customer focused: You make customer-centric recommendations and decisions across all customer touch points. Constantly incorporate applicable and actionable customer feedback. Understand customer behavior across channels, or within relevant channels. Guide suppliers and vendors in the development of customer focused processes and products.
  • You are tenacious, curious, dedicated and thrive working in ambiguous environments with ownership, autonomy, and a healthy dose of competition.

You'll make an impact by:

  • Developing strategies and growth initiatives for large, complex, or high-risk categories and subcategories by identifying relevant trends to meet diverse customer needs.
  • Working collaboratively with internal teams, from tech and finance to site merchandising and program management, to identify challenges and develop scalable solutions.
  • Partnering with high-visibility suppliers to grow the digital business, and working on joint initiatives and projects to test, learn and scale.
  • Developing best practices and implementing new processes with Merchants via training, education, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Always looking for creative ideas to drive business improvements, innovation, and customer experience.
  • Providing direction on the digital charter by analyzing business objectives and customer needs; developing, communicating, building support for, and implementing business strategies, plans, and practices; analyzing cost and forecasts and incorporating them into business plans; determining and supporting resource requirements; evaluating operational processes; measuring outcomes to ensure desired results; identifying and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; promoting a customer environment; and demonstrating adaptability and sponsoring continuous learning .

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...
