Walmart Commerce Technologies is a new start up within Walmart Global Tech commercializing internally developed technologies and offering it to external companies.

The Principal Product Manager - Technology Commercialization Strategy will be responsible for assessing commercialization opportunities of technology assets including evaluating the technology, developing the business plan and go to market strategy. For commercialized products, this Principal Product Manager will drive operational excellence programs across products

The Principal Product Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the success and growth of our organization by defining and planning product strategies and building operational excellence programs. This role involves in-depth market analysis, competitive research, and strategic thinking to guide product teams and ensure market competitiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate new technologies, conduct market research, determine competitive landscape and business trends.
  • Develop the business case to determine the go/no go decision for investment for a new product.
  • Identify key dependencies, blockers and ecosystem requirements to scale and build the product.
  • Build operational excellence programs and establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success.
  • Regularly analyze data to gauge product performance and make data-driven decisions
  • Collaborate with internal teams to share the product roadmap, goals and other key updates with executive leadership.

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelors degree and 7-10 of experience in product management / consulting /start up and / or MBA degree with 5-7 years of experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2-4 year in management consulting or internal technology consulting groups
  • Experience with building and launching a new product in a start-up environment
  • Experience developing go to market strategies
  • Engineering background a positive

The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00-$286,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related area and 8 years' experience as a product manager, ideally working on consumer-facing, large-scale, highly complex B2B/C products, Supervisory experience, We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly. The ideal candidate would have knowledge of accessibility best practices and join us as we continue to create accessible products and services following Walmart's accessibility standards and guidelines for supporting an inclusive culture.
