What you'll do...

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Operations Manager to focus on Regulatory Strategy and Operations. The primary responsibilities will be to synthesize and identify regulatory requirements and upcoming changes and to lead the development and implementation of short-term product and operational strategies that ensure compliance with new and evolving regulations. The Regulatory Operations Manager will also conduct competitive analysis to evaluate how evolving regulations affect the broader industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Synthesize and Identify Regulatory Requirements:
    • Continuously track and monitor regulatory developments, legislative proposals, and government announcements impacting the gig economy and delivery platforms.
    • Analyze regulatory changes to identify key requirements that will impact business operations, products, and services.
    • Develop concise and actionable summaries of emerging regulations to inform decision-making.
    • Create and distribute materials to educate internal teams on regulatory impacts, timelines, and best practices.

  • Lead the development of short-term product and operational strategies to comply with emerging regulations and industry standards.
  • Lead the execution of projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with regulatory deadlines.
  • Evaluate current product and operational capabilities to determine opportunities for enhancing regulatory compliance.
  • Proactively recommend and implement process improvements to strengthen regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure knowledge sharing and training across teams regarding regulatory updates and operational compliance processes.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Legal, Compliance, Product and Operations, to align on regulatory initiatives.
    • Act as the regulatory operations liaison between different departments, facilitating clear communication of regulatory requirements and operational impact.
    • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on regulatory risks, progress, and mitigation efforts.
  • Competitive Analysis:
    • Conduct competitive analysis to assess how similar gig and delivery network companies are adapting to emerging regulations.
    • Identify industry trends in regulatory responses and benchmark the company's strategy against these trends.
    • Provide insights and recommendations for staying competitive and compliant, considering industry innovations and regulatory developments.

  • Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations, finance, or a related field.
    • 3-5 years of experience in regulatory operations, compliance, or a similar role, ideally in the gig economy, delivery network or technology sectors.
    • Strong knowledge of evolving regulatory frameworks and the ability to interpret complex regulations within relevant industries (e.g., financial services, healthcare, technology, etc.).
    • Proven ability to develop and execute short-term strategies to meet regulatory requirements.
    • Experience assessing operational and product capabilities and identifying opportunities for regulatory alignment.
    • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
    • Experience with monitoring and analyzing regulatory changes and translating them into actionable strategies.
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex regulatory information to a broad audience.
    • Strong analytical skills with experience in competitive analysis and regulatory strategy development.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and navigate fast-changing regulatory environments.
    • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to design creative solutions to regulatory challenges.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience working in highly regulated industries such as rideshare, finance, healthcare, or technology.
    • Experience in building scalable processes that balance regulatory requirements and business goals.

    The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00-$130,000.00

    Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
