What you'll do...
We are looking for an experienced Regulatory Operations Manager to drive digital governance efforts for our delivery network platform. This role will be responsible for leading the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for critical risk areas, overseeing the governance of change management in a dynamic gig economy environment and tracking and reporting on compliance metrics. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our company complies with relevant regulatory frameworks while adapting to the dynamic nature of the delivery network industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Digital Governance
- Design, implement, and maintain digital governance frameworks that align with regulatory requirements for gig economy platforms, particularly focusing on delivery operations and data privacy.
- Ensure digital governance initiatives comply with national and local laws, including gig worker regulations, independent contractor classifications and data protection standards.

- Develop, review, and maintain SOPs for targeted critical risk areas.
- Manage the lifecycle of SOPs, including coordinating with operational Subject Matter Experts, Legal, and Compliance partners to draft, review, and finalize documents.
- Design and implement a governance process to update and communicate necessary modifications to SOPs in response to regulatory changes.
- Ensure that SOP and Information and Record Management guidelines are educated and adhered to across cross-functional organizations.
- Lead and manage change initiatives related to compliance and risk management in a rapidly evolving gig economy landscape.
- Work cross-functionally with product, legal, and operations teams to assess the regulatory impact of business decisions and technological updates.
- Establish best practices for implementing change control and ensure communication plans are executed to minimize disruption.
- Design and implement a change management process to cascade SOPs and relevant operational knowledge requirements across team members to ensure adoption of and compliance with risk mitigation protocols.
- Provide updates to leadership in critical business forums and offer recommendations backed by insights and critical thinking to strengthen platform governance and compliance performance.
- Partner with cross functional stakeholders across product, tech, business and analytics to develop and maintain reporting and alerting systems to monitor compliance performance, including metrics related to worker safety, labor law compliance, data privacy, and platform operations.
- Support audits related to regulatory compliance, worker classification, safety standards, and data protection, ensuring that documentation is organized and audit timelines are met.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in regulatory operations, digital governance, or compliance management within the gig economy, delivery networks or tech industry.
- Expertise in drafting and managing SOPs.
- Experience in compliance reporting and managing audits.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and data analysis skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- In-depth understanding of key regulatory frameworks impacting gig workers, such as Prop 22 (California), labor laws, and international data protection laws (GDPR, CCPA).

The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00-$130,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
