The Manager, Business Development, also referred to as the Manager, Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) and Strategy Generalist, will join Walmart Connect's (WMC) in-house Strategy team to help define WMC's long-term business unit strategy and accelerate certain opportunities through M&A deal execution and post-close integration management. The WMC Strategy team is envisioning the future of WMC and its important role within Walmart; reports to the Director, Business Development.

This role is onsite only out of our Hoboken, NJ office.

What You'll Do:

• Evaluate new strategies and opportunities to help grow WMC
• Size market potential and conduct competitive intelligence research to inform recommendations
• Create actionable recommendations for WMC leadership and Walmart executives
• Support end-to-end M&A and partnership processes, from opportunity identification, evaluation, and execution, including post-acquisition integration management
• Develop driver-led, bottoms-up financial models including scenario building
• Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams to build consensus

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, or related field and 2 years' experience in business development, market development, product development, or related area OR 4 years' experience in business development, market development, product development, or related area.
• 2 or more years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, and/or corporate strategy with a focus on M&A deal evaluation in technology, retail, media or advertising.
• Strong financial modeling skills
• Resourcefulness in research, data collection and analysis to support strategies
• Strong presentation and communication skills to convey complex narratives to executives
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple high-profile projects simultaneously
