The eCommerce Product team builds products to enhance the experience for millions of customers who shop with us online or use the app to shop in our stores. You'll leverage the best and latest technologies to develop experiences that have changed the industry.

The Group Director of Product will lead AI/ML efforts at Walmart and play a critical role in shaping our customer-centric and innovative product offerings. You will work in a fast-paced, startup-like atmosphere and be responsible for driving AI/ML strategy, execution, and growth. We are seeking a dynamic leader to drive consumer-centric experiences and personalization for our Discovery platforms. This individual will be responsible for developing a comprehensive strategy and roadmap, focusing on key customer touchpoints such as the homepage, category pages, and brand pages. They will initiate and oversee projects to address consumer pain points and lead the design, development, and refinement of personalization engines for a tailored shopping experience. The ideal candidate will foster strong cross-functional collaboration with business, engineering, data science, and UX/UI teams to conceptualize and refine AI-driven product innovations. They will possess a deep understanding of technical requirements and challenges, effectively communicating them to relevant teams and establishing performance metrics to guide the product towards desired results. Additionally, this leader must be committed to continuous learning, staying abreast of the latest developments and trends in AI and ML to ensure our product offerings remain at the forefront of industry innovation. Success in this role will be measured by achieving key milestones and objectives in the areas of AI/ML product development, customer experience enhancement, team growth, and diversity and inclusion.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of AI/ML product strategy and roadmaps.
  • Manage a team of 30-50 direct reports, including product managers, engineers, and data scientists.
  • Drive the development and implementation of AI/ML solutions that enhance personalization, recommendation systems, and customer experiences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches and ongoing performance.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communicate complex AI/ML concepts and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Drive diversity and inclusion efforts within the team and promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience in AI/ML, personalization, and recommendation systems.
  • Background in eCommerce and building consumer experiences.
  • Proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills for technically complex problems.

Bentonville, Arkansas US-09401:The annual salary range for this position is $195,000.00-$370,000.00



















Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or related area and 14 years' experience as a product manager, ideally working on consumer-facing, large-scale, highly complex B2B/C products, Supervisory experience, We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly. The ideal candidate would have knowledge of accessibility best practices and join us as we continue to create accessible products and services following Walmart's accessibility standards and guidelines for supporting an inclusive culture.
