We are currently hiring a full-time Optical Lab Replenishment Associate for our Fayetteville, AR Optical Lab working Thursday through Saturday from 05:30am-5:30pm. Our manufacturing division focuses on delivering the Walmart Promise, "Live Better Save Money" in the realm of Optical eyewear manufacturing. Essential Functions

An individual must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this position with or without a reasonable accommodation.

  • Communicate with Customers, suppliers, and other Wal-Mart associates verbally and in writing.
  • Maintain quality, accuracy, and integrity of inventory by scanning product into and out of departments/facilities using system software; sorting, placing and storing freight or work orders in proper locations; and moving freight manually and with powered equipment.
  • Provide operational support to facility by monitoring compliance with company policies; monitoring and managing expenses and budgets (for example, supplies, lens and frame ordering); performing audits (for example, cycle counts); and preparing, reviewing, and analyzing reports (for example, usage reports, variance reports).

  • Safely operates motor vehicle or other large power equipment, requiring valid driver's license or certification as appropriate.

  • Visually locates merchandise and other objects.
  • Visually inspects equipment.
  • Reaches overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Stand for extended periods of time.
  • Sit for extended periods of time.
  • Use approved equipment to step up and access freight and equipment in elevated areas.
  • Walk within work area for extended periods of time.
  • Use crossovers to access opposite sides of conveyors.
  • Differentiate sounds in order to inspect and maintain equipment, identify potential hazards, or recognize safety alarms.
  • Lift, push, pull, and carry tools, objects or equipment above shoulder level without assistance.
  • Moves, lifts, carries, and places merchandise and supplies weighing up to 60 pounds without assistance.
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as a back belt, harness, breathing apparatus, safety glasses, protective sleeve and glove, or freezer gear.

Work Environment

Working in the following environment is necessary to perform one or more of the essential functions of this position.

  • Moves through narrow, confined spaces such as stacks of merchandise or supplies, storage areas, and closets.
  • May work with substances that require special handling
  • Works in areas requiring exposure to varying temperatures, extreme heat or cold, and/or wet, damp, or drafty conditions.
  • Moves over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces.
  • Work overnight, weekends, and varying shifts.
  • Work indoors for extended periods of time.
  • Work in areas with high noise levels that may require hearing protection.

The hourly wage range for this position is $17.80-$20.30

The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
