This function is critical to protecting our “Save Money, Live Better” promise, operating at low cost, and helping customers make purchase decisions.
The Director of Product Management for Pricing Systems will be responsible for leading the development, transformation, and optimization of the company's pricing technology and systems. In this role, you will drive the strategic vision for the pricing platforms that are critical to the company’s retail success, ensuring they evolve to meet changing market conditions, customer expectations, and internal business goals. This role will oversee a product management team, collaborating with key stakeholders to deliver cutting-edge pricing solutions that improve efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategy & Vision:
- Define and lead the vision for transforming pricing systems, aligning with business objectives to create a seamless and dynamic pricing experience across channels.
- Drive the modernization and innovation of the platforms that handle real-time adjustments, dynamic offers, and promotions.
- Collaborate with leadership to ensure system strategies support company-wide transformation initiatives, business growth, and profitability targets.
Leadership & Team Management:
- Build, mentor, and lead a team of product managers focused on systems transformation, fostering a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement.
- Set clear goals and performance metrics for the team and align their work with broader product management and business objectives.
- Promote strong collaboration between product, business, merchandizing, engineering, and data science to deliver effective and scalable solutions.
Technology Transformation:
- Lead the transition from legacy platforms to modern, data-driven solutions that support advanced analytics, automation, and AI-driven optimization.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of system products, from ideation and design through development, launch, and continuous iteration.
- Ensure seamless integration of these platforms with other core retail technologies.
Stakeholder Communication & Alignment:
- Regularly present updates on roadmaps, key developments, and performance metrics to executive leadership and relevant stakeholders.
- Lead cross-functional teams to address complex challenges and ensure solutions align with evolving business strategies and market conditions.
Market Research & Competitive Analysis:
- Conduct ongoing analysis of retail market trends, competitor strategies, and emerging technologies to keep systems ahead of the curve.
- Evaluate customer behavior and feedback to continuously refine solutions that deliver value and profitability.
Metrics & KPIs:
- Define and track KPIs specific to system performance, such as accuracy, profitability impact, speed to market, and uptime.
- Leverage data analytics to measure effectiveness, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive data-driven decisions.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00-$260,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related area and 10 years’ experience as a product manager, ideally working on consumer-facing, large-scale, highly complex B2B/C products, Supervisory experience, We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly. The ideal candidate would have knowledge of accessibility best practices and join us as we continue to create accessible products and services following Walmart’s accessibility standards and guidelines for supporting an inclusive culture.
