The Director of Operational Excellence, reporting to the Senior Director of eComm Strategy will collaborate with leaders across Walmart to achieve the strategic and operational objectives of our eCommerce sector. You'll be responsible for aligning cross-functional stakeholders while leveraging data-driven insights to enhance customer engagement, operational efficiency, and strategic growth.
Responsibilities:
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: As a key member of the strategy team, partner with cross-functional leadership to fully understand complex business problems and propose solutions that drive growth, operational excellence, and an improved customer experience. Build strong and trusting relationships with team members and business partners including executives from Business, Engineering, Product, Analytics, and Finance departments.

- Operational Excellence: Demonstrate a strategic approach towards quality management. This includes analyzing data to gain insights into performance trends, conducting in-depth investigations to understand the fundamental causes of any defects, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance production processes, developing action plans to address these issues, tracking and reporting on execution, ensuring continuous improvement and prevention of recurrence.
- Champion Customer Experience: Represent the voice of the customer, monitoring data for insights and incorporating associate feedback into our strategies and priorities for development. Participate in portfolio planning across teams to ensure the right solutions are being executed based on impact to eComm goals including customer retention and NPS.
- Leading Through Ambiguity: Act as a central point of coordination across multiple teams. Undertake difficult and ambiguous business challenges within an ever-evolving business environment. Influence execution towards shared objectives. Encourage professional growth and build a high-performing team that consistently meets or exceeds goals.
Qualifications:
- Strategic Leadership: At least 8 years of experience in managing large-scale businesses, with a focus on aligning efforts towards clear, strategic outcomes.
- Analytical and Strategic Focus: Ability to filter out non-essential details to prioritize critical opportunities and make data-backed decisions.
- Cross-Functional Influence: Proven ability to align diverse teams and leaders, keeping projects on track with strategic goals.
- Operational Expertise: Skills in effectively managing programs.
- Customer-Centric Approach: Understanding of customer segmentation, loyalty, and behavioral drivers.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in dynamic environments, adjust project strategies as needed to align with changing priorities, and drive meaningful results.
- Executive Communication: Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information into a clear, compelling narrative.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
