This Counsel role will provide legal support for Walmart's Data Ventures team, by providing legal counsel on the development and launch of new data and tech products, supporting the negotiation of SaaS, data analytics and licensing agreements with the world's largest brands, and collaborating with cross functional teams to mitigate legal and regulatory risk.

What you'll do:

  • Use your negotiation skills to advise on, review, draft, and negotiate agreements in support of new and existing products.
  • Provide product counseling related to any new data/tech products and services to be launched by the business.
  • Be the trusted advisor who responds promptly to complex legal requests, coordinating with the team and outside counsel to deliver practical, timely, and high-quality advice.
  • Use your problem-solving skills to identify and assess business and legal risks, finding innovative ways to mitigate them while achieving product and transactional goals.
  • Build strong relationships to facilitate a coordinated team approach to launching new products and features.

What you'll bring:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of data commercialization, data insights and/or technology experience.
  • Have product counseling experience within the tech/data field.
  • Significant experience drafting and negotiating SaaS, data analytics, licensing and other tech and data related agreements.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work practically and quickly to evaluate risk, solve problems, and make decisions that balance risk, opportunity, and business objectives.

Hoboken, New Jersey US-10279:The annual salary range for this position is $132,000.00-$264,000.00

Bentonville, Arkansas US-09401:The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
