Finance Track Business Area Involvement

Accounting & Finance Development Program

Each year, only the top candidates are selected to receive an invitation to join the AFDP internship and launch their career in an accelerated development program that places their career on the fast track at the world's largest retailer. Our AFDP internship is the gateway into receiving a full-time offer upon graduation into our program. In our full-time rotational program, participants complete four six-month rotations in different accounting and finance teams across the four sectors: Walmart US, Sam's Club, International, or Corporate. Participants benefit from a structured experience that provides coaching, mentorship, executive exposure, peer networking, and an industry-leading development curriculum. AFDP interns will experience all of these amazing benefits during an 11-week experience but will be placed on a single finance or accounting team (no rotations) during the summer.

About Our Summer 2026 Internship Program:

Each summer, we select the best and brightest to look under the hood of the world's largest retailer at our Walmart & Sam's Club Corporate Offices across multiple locations. During the 11-week program, our interns work directly with teams who are changing the way the world shops. This is the beginning of what could be an exciting career with Walmart!

The intern experience includes:

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor's degrees, including English Language Learning and short-form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart.

Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to a specific plan or program terms.

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00-$35.00

The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
