Job Description

The US Deal team is a function in Finance responsible for providing financial analysis and deal pricing expertise to compete for client brand decisions. This includes end-to-end deal execution in collaboration with various stakeholders and cross functional teams. The team is critical to delivering against Visa's revenue and business objectives and highly visible to executive leadership. As our business and strategy evolve, selling more things to more people, deals are getting more complex and we must also evolve our deal operations to increase the efficiency and efficacy of deal making.

The Deal Operations Analyst will be responsible for optimizing and managing our deal process, incoming inquiries, data management, approvals / governance processes, tools, and deal performance. This includes improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the deal process, triaging incoming inquiries, increasing the scale and impact of the deal team, and leading digital transformation within the US Deal Team. The candidate will advance deal team operations, bringing more automation and better tooling to support successful, sustainable, and scalable deal execution.

The Deal Operations Analyst will collaborate with various stakeholders to drive performance and productivity around all aspects of our deals. They must be team oriented, collaborative, flexible, and diplomatic. They must bring a strategic mindset, a commitment to excellence, and a passion for continuous learning and improvement.

Essential Functions:

  • Own the end to end issuing deal approval process including (1) Preparation & distribution of proposal documents and decision records, (2) Confirming approval requests and documentation of decisions, (3) ensure compliance with governance and audit standards, (3) ad-hoc reporting and analysis, (4) meeting logistics & coordination, and (5) miscellaneous support of the day-to-day operations of the US Deal Team
  • Act as a key point of contact for incoming inquiries to the US Deal Team including: deal structuring requests, approval confirmations, ad-hoc analysis, historical data pulls, database extracts - ensuring clear communication and appropriate responsiveness
  • Deal Database and Deal Tracking – Own the US Deal database (SharePoint list and its related PowerBI reports). Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the day-to-day governance responsibilities, including reducing manual entry, increasing automation, and introducing mechanisms to ensure data quality and integrity
  • Quality Assurance & Data Integrity - Conduct quality checks on data and reports to maintain high standards and ensure that downstream analysis generate reliable insight and action items
  • Deal Resources, Tools, & Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) - Partner with deal team members and stakeholders to develop and maintain all resources and tools to support deals – both internal and external to our team. Help to stand up centralized US Deal Hub for sharing tools, resources, best practices, and training for team members & stakeholders
  • Business Reporting and Analysis – Partner with the US Deals Excellence team to design and manage key reports and dashboards that meet the goals of sales partners and their leadership teams, especially leveraging PowerBI
  • Digital Transformation - Partner with the US Deals Excellence team to champion digital transformation within the US Deals team while successfully balancing change management

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI), and Microsoft 365 (including but not limited to Teams and SharePoint). Advanced MS Outlook proficiency
  • Experience with providing administration, maintenance and customization activities for SharePoint sites & Teams Groups - Including designing, creating libraries, lists & views, performing updates, establishing site permissions, and performing a myriad of other routine / standard site administration tasks
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage projects effectively
  • Proactive work ethic, capable of navigating uncertain environments and identifying process improvements
  • A keen interest in the financial services or payments industry, with a focus on innovation and transformation
