Job Description

We are seeking a Sr. Technical Writer to join our Training and Documentation team. Our technical writers create client-facing and internal documents that help set up and use our eCommerce solutions, including Click to Pay and Visa Token Service.

Strong interpersonal and writing skills are required. In addition to these skills, you will be expected to develop an expertise with our authoring and publishing tools.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  •  Understand and adhere to department style and process guidelines.

  •  Understand product development methodologies in an Agile environment.

  •  Foster and maintain positive working relationships with other team members and key stakeholders.

  • Research and document new and updated features for products.

  • Improve existing documentation.

  • Attend project meetings, create schedules, and report progress on a regular basis

  • Collaborate with developers, designers, product managers, and customer support to ensure accuracy and quality of documentation to contribute to a positive user experience.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
•4 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced
Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)

Preferred Qualifications:
•5 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years
of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
•2 years writing in a publishing environment
•Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
•Knowledge of the payments industry
•Technical knowledge (cryptography, networks, SDK, SaaS)
•Experience with APIs and writing for a Developer audience
•Previous experience with XML documentation tools (for example Madcap Flare).
