Job Description
As a Sr Systems Engineer, you will help design, build and test enhancements to the ATM Terminal Driving applications for Visa's Debit Processing System. These applications run within the Tandem Connex HP NonStop platform and related services. You will be working on multiple projects and work as an integral part of a cross-functional engineering team.

Responsibilities:
- Design, build, improve and maintain software to run, test, interact with and process ATM Terminal Handler software
- Review, analyze and determine testing needs to validate delivery of new product requirements
- Identify issues during testing or customer feedback and assume responsibility to drive resolution
- Build, maintain and utilize virtual ATM emulations to allow remote interaction with Terminal Handler and Communication Handler code
- Evaluate code to ensure it is valid, meets industry standards and is compatible with devices and/or operating systems
- Confer with internal and external teams to prioritize needs, resolve conflicts, and help choose solutions
- Develop or validate test routines and schedules to ensure that test cases mimic external interfaces
- Partner with Product resources to identify clear business requirements and solutions
- Demonstrate Visa's core values, maintaining a delivery-focused approach
- Generate innovative ideas, solutions, and opportunities to contribute to the Visa enterprise, DPS service’s and project’s success
- Cultivate, support and promote an organizational culture that provides for high performance, high morale, collaboration and innovation
- Create systems and test documentation per organizational standards
- Ensure compliance with audit and security requirements for all activities
- Actively seek opportunities to evolve and improve the existing standards and practices to improve efficiency

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
• 2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
• 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
• 4+ years of experience in software development/test/test engineering
• 3+ years of automated testing experience
• 3+ years of EFT experience
• Tandem/Connex Advantage/EFunds software experience
• Mainframe experience
• ATM experience
• ATM Emulator experience – Paragon or C2P experience
• General business knowledge of EFT, Debit and Transaction Processing
• Strong understanding and knowledge of Software Engineering concepts and methodologies
• Strong understanding of Quality Assurance processes and methodologies
• Experience with a formal defect tracking tool/application such as Jira or equivalent
• Strong written and verbal interpersonal skills with deep understanding of customer relations
• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
• Strong ability to work independently and self-manage
• Must be able to organize and prioritize workload in order to meet necessary deadlines
• Proven ability to make independent judgments/decisions within established guidelines

Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 96,600.00 to 136,550.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
