Job Description

The Client Incentive Operations team are responsible for managing Client Incentive and Merchant Acceptance Incentive agreements.  We ensure compliance with contractual terms and determine the accounting treatment of each incentive deal and conformity with US GAAP.  We use lean/six sigma process methodologies to provide benefits to our stakeholders regarding quality, cost and schedule associated with our work. This role is to support the operations of client incentive teams from all regions worldwide.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage Incentive contracts for all regions
  • Analyze newly executed incentive contract terms to assess Visa's contractual obligations and determine appropriate accounting treatment based on Visa policy and procedure
  • Review proforma to ensure accuracy of contract interpretation and application of Visa's accounting policy respectively
  • Setup incentive contracts in Client Incentives system per contract terms, ensuring that all key obligations have been accurately addressed. Ensure consistencies in the process especially those to accommodate system limitation 
  • Manage, track, and process contractual payments per terms of contracts accurately and timely for all regions
  • Liaise with Sales, Legal and clients to determine the fulfillment of contractual obligations.
  • Review on-going contract performance and update future performance /amortization schedules, as needed
  • Responsible for inquiries and issue resolution related to the assigned contracts
  • Coordinate with the bigger Client Incentive Operations team, understand the various deals across regions and ensure a consistent business process applied globally for a similar contract structure
  • Support ad-hoc analysis or project as needed
  • Ensure key production metrics for the month are met

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
• 2 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. MBA)
• 3 - 5 years of relevant working experience
• 5 or more years of progressive business and/or systems analysis experience preferably with large, multi-national, publicly-traded companies.
• 5 or more years of progressive experience in revenue operations, billing, or system support functions, preferably with large, multi-national, publicly-traded companies.
• Solid understanding of the underlying revenue and incentive contract operations business processes encompassing contract revenue amortization, accrual, pricing, invoicing, reporting, master data, etc
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to translate complex information into comprehensive, concise and high quality business requirements with minimal revisions.
• Excellent data analysis skills and demonstrated experience in testing, validation, Quality Assurance, User Acceptance Testing, and related disciplines. Proficiency in Excel and Access required.
• Excellent project management skills and ability to effectively juggle multiple projects at one time and meet project deadlines.
• Familiarity with JIRA Align/Standard to enhance strategy alignment and execution efficiency.
• Prior experience navigating system integration complexities in M&A scenarios.
• Knowledge of financial system implementations and finance transformation processes is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and achieve in-depth understanding of complex processes and systems.
• Excellent understanding of the Agile methodology and Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process.
• Experience in working with IT and business team to clarify/collaborate business requirements.
• Experience in working with IT to design solutions and using JIRA to manage testing defects

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s in Accounting
• Chartered Accountant or CPA preferred but not required
• Audit or accounting experience
• Attention to detail and highly organized
• Self-motivated, ability to function well independently as well as in a team, and comfortable in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Strong business analysis skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in advanced Excel skills, familiar with Oracle based application is a plus
• Experience in Oracle Revenue Management & Billing (ORMB) or Oracle Customer Care & Billing (CC&B) strongly preferred. Experience with other enterprise revenue software packages (e.g. Oracle BRM, SAP, Amdocs, etc.) also preferred
• Background in payment industry and transaction based billing preferred. Experience and knowledge of Visa transaction processing systems, Incentive Operations attractive.
