We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Systems Administrator to join our team. This role is pivotal in providing advanced support for a variety of corporate tools and ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our IT systems. The successful candidate will excel in incident management, user access management, system maintenance, and compliance activities, all while working in a structured support environment and fulfilling user requests promptly and efficiently. As a Senior Systems Administrator, you will also be expected to provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members and contribute to the strategic improvement of our support services.

Responsibilities:
As a Senior Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for delivering expert-level support for corporate tools such as Service Now, MS SharePoint, PowerBI, PowerAutomate, Tableau, Workday, and Eracent. Your role will involve managing and resolving unexpected disruptions in applications to ensure minimal downtime and business impact. Additionally, you will handle user requests for new services or changes in applications, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery.
In this role, you will identify and resolve root causes of recurring incidents to prevent future disruptions and manage application outages, ensuring quick recovery and minimal impact on business operations. You will oversee user access rights and permissions, ensuring appropriate access controls and security, while also performing routine and preventive maintenance to keep systems and applications running smoothly.
You will be responsible for providing emergency fixes for critical incidents, managing application and system configurations, and handling ad-hoc data loads and report generation. Your role also includes managing and implementing scheduled changes, supporting key control compliance and audit activities, and overseeing system and application upgrades.
Monitoring application health, setting up advanced monitoring, and ensuring smooth operations of batch jobs are key aspects of this role. You will coordinate a comprehensive Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and IT Disaster Recovery (ITDR) process, including conducting annual ITDR tests. Additionally, you will support application access audits and quarterly user list provisioning for external applications.
You will coordinate exception management activities, collaborate on application patching, security updates, and key control finding remediation. Certificate management tasks, global release management, and change requests are also part of your responsibilities. Furthermore, you will provision and maintain load balancers, manage service account passwords, and collaborate with vendors for license management and security updates.
Essential Functions:
- Lead and mentor junior systems administrators, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the support function by seeking opportunities to shift left through automation, orchestration, and leveraging Generative AI technologies to improve the customer experience and drive efficiencies.
- Demonstrate a track record of coming up with innovative ideas and driving them through to completion.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of systems, standard operating procedures, and best practices.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
- Experience as a Systems Administrator or in a similar senior role, with strong knowledge of corporate tools and applications
- Self-starting technologist with excellent problem-solving abilities and a knack for troubleshooting technology issues
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills are essential, as you will be interacting with various stakeholders and ensuring their IT needs are met efficiently.
- Self-motivated individual who can work independently and within a team
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects activities simultaneously, while maintaining attention to detail, will be crucial.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively are essential. You should be proactive in identifying potential issues and implementing solutions before they escalate.
