The Opportunity: 

This position is ideal for an engineer who is passionate about promoting the DevOps model to enhance developer productivity through well-orchestrated automated services at various stages of continuous integration and continuous delivery. They will be an integral part of the Payment Products Development team, focusing on building solutions that leverage data to address business challenges. They will be extensively involved in hands-on activities, including proof of concepts, development, and testing. They should demonstrate adaptability and readiness to change tasks according to the team's requirements. In this role, they will own continuous delivery specifications, quality, release deployments, and the monitoring of production health, enabling developers to ship high-quality products and features with an end-to-end mindset from conception to delivery and production support.

The Work itself: 

  • Implement and support Continuous Integration and Deployment Pipelines.
  • Ensure continuous availability of various tools supporting SCM & Release Management, including Source Control, Continuous Integration, and Change Management.
  • Engage with cross-functional co-located teams in the design, development, and implementation of CICD environment monitoring and migration, acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for DevOps-related items.
  • Support, troubleshoot, and analyze code across all layers of the stack related to infrastructure, middleware, and continuous integration and delivery frameworks.
  • Develop and implement efficiency tools to free up development staff to focus on deliverables.
  • Integrate code quality tools and code analysis tools into Integrated Development Environments (IDEs).
  • Implement automation to improve coding efficiency.
  • Manage integrations with various Source Code Management (SCM) tools.
  • Facilitate CI/CD onboarding processes.
  • Work collaboratively across team boundaries to share common capabilities and drive overall improvements.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience. Masters graduates must have 2+ years of relevant work experience to qualify.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Over 4 years of hands-on experience in the software industry, with a focus on development or build and release in Java and/or .NET environments.
  • Proficient in DevOps tools and automation frameworks, with practical experience using Build, Deployment, and Continuous Integration (CI) tools such as GIT, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Maven, and Gradle.
  • Strong coding skills and proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, and Groovy.
  • Experience with automation and configuration management tools, such as Chef, Docker, or equivalent, with a focus on rapid provisioning, reliability, and consistency.
  • Familiarity with UNIX environments and the provisioning of CI/CD infrastructures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proactive and self-motivated approach to improving existing processes to enable faster iterations.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where iterative changes are deployed in rapid succession.
  • Experience or familiarity with AI concepts and tools is a good to have
  • Proficiency in Java programming is a good to have
