- Responsible for supporting critical Visa Data Interface and analytical applications and ensuring the stability of the applications.
- Perform proactive maintenance activities, engage in automation activities, and perform root cause analysis and remediation.
- Write and maintain scripts to monitor system functionality and performance.
- Apply code and operation break fixes and other proactive maintenance activities.
- Evaluate issues reported by Visa clients and members to provide ongoing solutions.
- Responsible for performance tuning of applications.
- Execute decisive action to preserve and maintain service availability, performance, integrity, capacity, and security.
- Participate in root causes analysis for service failure and provide resolution. Work with ticketing application to manage tickets and maintain SLA and OLA.
- Position reports to the Austin, TX office and may allow for partial telecommuting.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a Sr. Site Reliability Engineer-related occupation.
- Incident, change, and problem management, as well as escalation procedures.
- UNIX/Linux.
- ITIL, ServiceNow, and ticketing workflows.
- Java and Linux application support and DB concepts.
- SQL.
- Production support and working in a globally distributed team.
- Containers and Microservice architecture.
- SDLC.
- Experience with builds, deployment, troubleshooting and production support.
Additional Information
Worksite: Austin, TX
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Travel Requirements: This position does not require travel.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $134,285.00 USD to $164,100.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
