Visa is looking for an accomplished Senior Product Manager to develop products for engagements with our clients and partners (Issuers/Financial Institutions, Acquirers, Big Techs and Merchants) and accelerate adoption of our services across multiple markets. 

Given we are a relatively new product and have a ‘start-up’ mentality - you will own a wide breadth of responsibilities which include joint product solutioning with clients, developing new features, setting product prioritizations, and guiding client launches. This role reports Director of Global Installments & Embedded Finance has high visibility and broad exposure to several cross-functional teams (country teams, Technology, Legal, Marketing and Client Services). Overall, you will determine and build the right solutions that scale, solve for critical client needs, and manage large-scale launches. You should be a self-starter who can balance strategy with day-to-day running the business aspects, highly organized, and able to seamlessly prioritize a dynamic workload. This position will have great opportunities to shape and inspire next generation APMs from prestigious schools in Bay Area. 

Responsibilities

  • Evolving Global Product Strategy: Unleash your innovative thinking to contribute to the evolution of Visa's global product strategy! You'll be instrumental in creating simple, scalable solutions that enable seamless integration. It's like being a builder of bridges, connecting solutions and users.
  • Executing Roadmap: Experience the thrill of bringing the Visa Installments roadmap to life! You'll play a vital role in achieving commercial targets for all use cases. It's a strategic game where you're the mastermind.
  • Collaborating with Architects: Join forces with architects to communicate client pain points and propose enhancements. You'll be the detective, identifying issues and the innovator, crafting solutions to scale while considering technical tradeoffs.
  • Product Architecture Enhancements: Step up to the exciting challenge of enhancing product architecture! You'll pave the way for regional solution leads to reduce barriers of entry for our product. It's like being an architect of opportunities.
  • Technology Collaboration: Work together with our Technology team to ensure new use cases and capabilities deliver the expected user experience without any technical debt. You'll be the guardian of quality and the champion of user experience.
  • Hosting Office Hours: Get ready to host office hours, facilitating valuable interactions with Card Issuers, Acquirers, Processors, and PSPs. You'll be the host of a knowledge exchange party, fostering productive conversations.
  • Cross-Functional Interaction: Engage in dynamic cross-functional interactions within Visa, including Compliance, Client Readiness, Legal, Regulatory, Risk, Sales, Marketing, Product, Investor Relations, Corporate Development, Corporate Strategy, and Technology. It's like being part of a diverse orchestra, creating a harmonious symphony.
  • Leadership Collaboration: Collaborate with our leadership team to align product strategies and ensure proper coordination and messaging. You'll be a vital cog in the wheel, synchronizing efforts and shaping the narrative.

 

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
  • Prior experience in product management, strategy, and solution commercialization
  • Strong technical aptitude with understanding of predominant payment schemes.
  • Broad knowledge in payments and digital transaction standards with ability to understand how use cases can be realized through cutting edge technology.
  • Tenacity and comfort with ambiguity is the most frequent skill tested on a day-to-day basis.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 159,100.00 to 230,900.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
