Essential Functions:
As a Sr Product Manager at VISA, you will work closely with business teams to translate their requirements into actionable solutions in collaboration with the Architecture and Engineering teams. You will be involved in solution design and specifications to ensure scalability and extensibility across various areas of the VISA Payments Ecosystem Risk and Controls program portfolio. This role demands strong partnerships with business sponsors, architects, and developers to define feature sets, story maps, and detailed user stories (functional and non-functional) to support the development process. You will work with executives across business and engineering organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop an understanding of VISA Ecosystem Risk Programs (ERP) and Services: Apply this knowledge to create holistic solutions for ERP Risk.
- Product Execution Strategy: Align with the product roadmap to drive ERP Risk product usage.
- High-Level System Design: Represent implementation requirements ensuring common stakeholder understanding.
- Feature Grooming Sessions: Gather input on functional requirements, designs, dependencies, or potential problems.
- Decompose Feature Requirements: Convert them into functional and non-functional technical requirements related to scaling, security, etc.
- Write Functional and Non-Functional Stories: Ensure they meet the definition of ready for the scrum team.
- Maintain Team Backlog and Prioritization.
- Facilitate Sprint Demos: Collect feedback to maintain a healthy sprint cycle.
- Access and Data Request SLA Management
- Enhancement/Defect Requirement Logging and Management
- User Management and Support Queue
- Platform Backlog Upkeep
- Facilitate Requirement Finalization for Platform Development
- User Acceptance Testing
- Release Announcements and Notes
- Create and Conduct End User Training
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications
- 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in product management or related roles
- Must demonstrate longer-term strategic thinking and staying ahead of state-of-the-art curve to keep abreast with what's possible technically, operationally and professionally.
- Proven track record of managing and evolving a product portfolio and/or driving product vision and strategy
- Ability to collaborate with engineers in developing technical architecture, as well as leading commercial conversations with clients and vendors.
- Experience in the payments industry or financial services
- Strong understanding of system design and architecture
- Proven experience with Agile development methodologies
- Proficiency in using product management tools such as JIRA, Jira Align, and Figma
- Experience with UI/UX design and user experience research and testing
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Certified SAFe Product Owner
- Certified Scrum Product Owner
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 143,200.00 to 207,800.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
