We are looking for a Research Lead, who is passionate about embedding user research deeply into the product design and go-to-market processes in North America. In this role, you'll be a core member of our regional Solution Design team, working alongside a blended team of product managers and designers to bring new and early-stage products and solutions to life the North America market.
Your research expertise will help inform decisions throughout the product development process. This role will work across key strategic product lines within Visa such as digital, e-commerce, risk and identity, BNPL, and more.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead qualitative and quantitative research programs with a hypotheses-led/problem statement approach
- Manage participant recruitment and associated privacy and data considerations
- Weave together a story for internal and external stakeholders that demonstrates how the research meets their objectives
- In partnership with product and design colleagues, define and prioritize research that should be completed to achieve successful product incubations in North America.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
8+ years of experience in user experience research, with demonstrable experience designing and executing research across the full tech product development lifecycle.
Strong analytical skills, coupled with a willingness to explore beyond the traditional toolbox and embrace new methodologies
Must be results-oriented and have the ability to work independently, identifying when and where feedback will be valuable and incremental
Innate desire to share credit and support one’s colleagues, putting the success of the team and the company ahead of personal gain
Refusal to compromise on commitments, quality and the truth
Excellent cross-functional partnership skills and ability to lead product conversations with insights
Knowledge of and experience with Visa products a plus
Experience with tools such as Figma, dScout, UserTesting.com

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 169,100.00 to 245,400.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
