  • Manage a team that supports the technology organization in embedding cybersecurity into their products and services globally.
  • Be a product security champion by driving security architecture/design, implementation, optimization for web, API, and mobile backend application across Visa.
  • Conduct and facilitate security architecture assessments (including scoping, threat modeling and peer review), throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Define solution-level security architecture for application that conform to Visa’s security standards.
  • Be an escalation point of contact for the product development teams when issues need to be resolved.
  • Stay up to date on new security tools and techniques in the information security space.
  • Identify and analyze system and application-level vulnerabilities to provide recommended counter measures or mitigating controls that reduce risks to an acceptable and manageable level.
  • Analyze and track development process and proactively monitor OSS security efforts and approach.
  • Align the services provided by Cybersecurity to match the strategic needs of the reginal businesses.
  • Contribute to technical and design security requirements (TSR/DSR).
  • Establish and build an inclusive culture that values diversity of perspective, thoughts, and working styles, while managing a team, including recruitment, line management, and career development.
  • Position has direct report(s).
  • Position reports to the Employer’s Austin, Texas office and may allow for partial telecommuting.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, or related filed and 6 years of experience in the job offered or in a Information Security Engineer or Information Technology Engineer-related occupation.
  • Experience must include:
  • Cloud Security (Azure, AWS, and GCP)
  • Secure Arch & design: Threat Modelling, Product & Application Security, and Pen Test
  • Databases, Data Warehousing and Business Data Mining
  • Information Security
  • Project Strategy, Management & Implementation
  • Java, J2EE, CSS, and JS
  • SQL, and Oracle
  • Business Analytics
  • Quality Assurance
  • SSDLC, and agile and waterfall development processes

Additional Information

Worksite: Austin, TX

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Travel Requirements: This position does not require travel.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $152,300.00 USD to $243,700.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for an annual bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position is eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), Employee Stock Purchase Program, FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time off and Wellness Programs.
