Job Description

What it's all about - 

Intelligence & Data Solutions is a new business that sits within Visa Consulting & Analytics, part of our broader Advisory Services offering in Value Added Services (VAS). This new business will include benchmarking, data solutions (both regional and global), data subscription services, data products, data-driven scores / recommendations / set-plays, and other scalable solutions we create with our clients to help them gain insights and perform better. To support the delivery of the above, the direct resourcing of this team will include a globally dispersed group of 400+ data scientists and data engineers.

As the strategic enabler for Visa to create new value from our VisaNet data and beyond, Intelligence & Data Solutions will be at the forefront of creating enhanced customer experience through data analytics. We are also actively partnering with external parties to extend our data alliance and ecosystem globally. Hence this role will help Visa maintain a competitive advantage, foster strategic partnerships, and make informed strategic decisions.

The Senior Director, Strategy & Operations, is a visionary and strategic leader who will define and implement a comprehensive Intelligence & Data Solutions strategy, ensuring alignment of regional objectives with global goals. This role involves providing strategic input into the product roadmap, offering insights and recommendations to support decision-making and business growth, and working closely with IDS, technology, and regional teams to integrate efforts and drive adoption of key initiatives. The successful candidate will drive process improvements, develop value propositions for data products, explore strategic partnerships or acquisitions, and manage financial performance to achieve IDS revenue targets.

Responsibilities include:

  • Define and implement a comprehensive IDS strategy, while ensuring alignment of regional objectives with global strategy

  • Provide strategic input into the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with data solutions strategy and business objectives

  • Provide insights and recommendations based on market intelligence and trends to support strategic decision-making and business growth

  • Work closely with other IDS teams, technology organization, and regional teams to ensure integration of IDS-related efforts and adoption of key strategic initiatives across regions

  • Drive process improvements to optimize operations 

  • Develop and define value proposition across data products and solutions

  • Explore strategic partnerships / acquisitions to drive achievement of IDS revenue targets

  • Develop and evolve the operating model and talent mix to future-proof the organisation

  • Collaborate with IDS GTM and Commercialisation team to systematically drive external presence for IDS at key events to establish credibility in the market

  • Manage financial performance, including MI and ‘Run the business’ support

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

 

Qualifications


-Substantial relevant experience in management consulting or similar role in
other data-driven organisations
-Strong business acumen and understanding of Visa and Client business
models
-Previous exposure to financial services, cards or merchant analytics is a plus
-Technology mindset, curious, up-to-date with digital trends and applications
-Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite of office tools
-Professional communication skills in data-driven insights and conveying
actionable recommendations with the ability to influence the organization in
order to make strategy happen
-Proven ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple projects with
evolving requirements
-Vast experience in building enduring, strategic relationships with internal and
external stakeholders
-Experience working with financial indicators to measure business performance
with a focus on impacting ROI
-Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to use data to convey a clear
message to clients and the business
-Self-motivated, results oriented individual with the ability to handle multiple
priorities concurrently
