The Specialized Sales Manager and Account Executive will play an essential role in managing, developing and growing Visa’s business with our emerging clients in targeted regions. In this role, you will be the primary contact for small institutions, addressing inquiries, solving problems and freeing up resources from country-specific sales and functional areas to nurture and expand business with key clients and stakeholders. You will also be responsible for generating leads, executing sales initiatives and implementing business development and portfolio management strategies in continuous collaboration with Sales and Functional Areas. This alignment ensures our activities are in line with country, regional and global strategies.

The Sales Engine is the next step in the evolution of our sales and service approach within Southeast Asia. In this role, you have an opportunity to reshape and renew how we take care of our clients who we manage on a portfolio basis. You will also have a critical part in supporting the initiatives across geographies and functions to optimize our sales approach.

The Specialized Sales position will be responsible for a portfolio of clients (issuers and acquirers), which will include driving sales initiatives on our key products and solutions, understanding the evolving needs of our clients and ensuring Visa contributes to driving a successful partnership and business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to achieving Visa Business Goals in alignment with corresponding countries’ strategies and priorities.
  • Lead the business and relationship development with assigned clients, aligning objectives, priorities and resources.
  • Serve as the primary business contact "Account Owner" for Emerging-Mass and High Potential clients, providing day-to-day support and executing sales initiatives.
  • Collaborate with country teams to secure key deals and generate leads for emerging clients, according to market coverage.
  • Understand the Financial Institution's business and payment strategy across all product platforms. Segment clients as Gold, Silver, Bronze in the Sales Engine to determine prioritization of engagements and delivery.
  • Develop and execute business plans to increase sales volume and market share. Identify and pursue new business opportunities for emerging Clients.
  • Foster productive relationships within the client organization and Visa, understanding their decision-making process.
  • Expand existing relationships and partnerships through the selling of Visa products and services, utilizing a consultative sales approach.
  • Proactively provide feedback and drive improvement of existing processes and activities.
  • Ensure business continuity by responding to client's requests in a timely manner when a team member is out of office.
  • Document opportunities and initiatives in Microsoft Dynamics in an appropriate, consistent and timely manner.
  • Comply with internal controls, developing an understanding of Visa rules, policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Continually review the payment landscape and recommend, develop, and implement new approaches to growing Visa's business.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 6 to 8 years of work experience.
  • High level of curiosity to learn Visa products and services.
  • Adaptable to a dynamic and complex working environment, with a strong desire to learn and execute effective sales strategies for new payment products and services.
  • Proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with efficiency and professionalism.
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong business and financial acumen.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and Bahasa Indonesia. Proficiency in an additional Asian language is a plus.
  • Ability to create and deliver compelling presentations, including Client Business Reviews, to all client levels.
  • Solid ability to collaborate internally and externally and foster cross-functional relationships.
  • Excellent negotiation skills for business agreements and managing relationships.
  • Ability to operate effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and solid planning capabilities.
  • Motivated self-starter with passion, energy and dedication.
  • Highest standards of ethical conduct and integrity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other key work productivity tools.
